Coastguard searching 100m off prom for several hours

    I assume someone reckons they saw someone/a body in the water off the prom because the Coastguard Sikorsky S-61 has been slowly flying up and down the prom only 100m off shore for the since about 3am. Its now 4:48am.

    Was down there 30 mins ago on way home from work . Was wondering what's up ... Didn't see any Garda cars though

    A motorbike, (I think it was an ambulance one but couldn't be sure in the dark) went along the top of the beach down to the aquarium at around 4.30 - 5ish - or at least, that is where the helicopter had its light focussed the whole time.
