    Under the sea!
Darling it's better, down where it's wetter take it from me!
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
    While we devotin'
    Full time to floatin'
    Under the sea!

If I won a mega lotto I'd like to try taking a few years out to live on nice big boat down in the Caribbean somewhere. For permanent retirement.... I don't mind, somewhere not to wet/warm and with a good internet connection.

So... Ireland then? Can't get a more temperate climate with political stability.

I'd like to live in Ireland but with a selection of retreats from New York to the South of France depending on my mood.

Based on recent boards threads, it's gotta be either Kinnegad or Tipperary town

I have a small art gallery in Dublin. I'd like to have the same in a town on the Andalucian coast. I like Spain a lot.

San Vincenzo in Tuscany. I was on holiday there a few years ago, and just loved it. My misses on the other hand wouldn't have it, so split residence

I disagree. I had to use it when my daughter hurt her hand. After seeing a doctor, senior consultant, having an xray etc we went on with our holiday. They did charge for it of course, the exhorbitant amount of 5 euro 15 cent, not sure why they bothered especially the 15 cent.

Dublin :O sad I know but I lived away for a few years and was very happy to come home.

I would love a house in Wellington, New Zealand and the money to spend the Southern Hemisphere summer there every year though

Why, out of interest? I spent a chunk of time there in 2013, and while I enjoyed it, I wouldn't want to live there. Yes, the weather is great almost all year round, but I found LA to be a bit soulless in some respects. I also hated the car culture and the absolute dependence on cars to get anywhere more than a 5-minute walk.

My best mate moved there with his brother straight after the leaving cert and is living the life, going over to visit him in June for 3 weeks to see if it's for me, sounds like a really easy going place to an extent, and I love the sun :)

Fair enough, I hope you have a blast :) Californians are very friendly and relaxed, no doubt about it, and LA does have great food to be fair. Also surfing and other watersports :D

If I had to pick a US city to live in, I think it would be Boston. Although I'm hopefully going to Chicago this summer for a few weeks, so maybe it'll convert me!

Good food, good people and good weather are all I need to hear :D

Also wanna visit new york, I've heard it's a bit of a hole but I'll reserve my judgement until I've seen it!

Either Dalkey in Dublin. Strandhill or Rosses point in Sligo. or Kinsale in Cork.

I would like a house looking out on the sea and if there was a lighthouse in view that would be amazing.

I wouldn't like to live outside of Ireland permanently.

...I wouldn't like to live outside of Ireland permanently.

There's a lot to be said for it. There's a place just outside Ballylanders in East Limerick - I pass it regularly - in a valley right beside the Ballyhoura mountains. I'll just leave this here:

San Diego, temperature in the 20's all year around. Beautiful old town, really relaxed people with loads of surfer villages alon the coast.

    Zanzibar.

Or Dublin, if we had better weather. Nothing too extreme though. If summer lasted at least 4 months and during that time most days were sunny and 20-23°. I would happily tolerate anything else this country could throw at me if we had a summers like that.
