    I'm in the mood to make myself a canvas bucket, partially to prove I can do it, and partially because I need one. Where on this green isle can I find a good supplier of acrylic or cotton canvas, suitable for marine use?

    Hi cricalix Try these http://www.marshallmarine.ie/contact.htm or http://www.ashcoverup.com/ Hickeys might also be worth a look, you could also keep an eye out for some outdoor seat cushion covers or an old sail might make a nice bag.
    Best or luck there is always ebay if your stuck http://www.ebay.com/bhp/sunbrella-fabric

    Cheers Fergal. Will give those a spin, and also check some suggestions I got on Facebook :)

    @cricalix

    Did you track down the canvas in the end? I am looking for some to make a sun cover for our main halyard while it is sitting in the marina.

    I am also looking for lightweight webbing for use with a domestic sewing machine and plastic quick release buckles.
