I've just come back from a walk during my lunch break.
I dont like it, it's too hot.

And the air conditioning isn't turned on in the office so its even hotter inside...

What kind of people deliberately seek out hot weather? You're all mad

What's the weather like out there?

"It's hot. Damn hot! Real hot! Hottest things is my shorts. I could cook things in it. A little crotch pot cooking."

Well, can you tell me what it feels like.

"Fool, it's hot! I told you again! Were you born on the sun? It's damn hot! I saw - It's so damn hot, I saw little guys, their orange robes burst into flames. It's that hot! Do you know what I'm talking about."

What do you think it's going to be like tonight?

"It's gonna be hot and wet! That's nice if you're with a lady, but it ain't no good if you're in the jungle."

    RIP Robin Williams.

Living in Brisbane. You get used to it. What you call summer in Ireland would have me in a hoodie shivering nowadays....

I've just consulted the HR definition of business dress and we're not allowed to be naked at work, we're also not allowed to wear sandals.

Quit your job...find work in a brothel. Sandals are optional in most establishments.

Its up to 18c today in places.(Mostly 15-17c) If that's hot, then I have really given up on this country.

12c is too cold and 15c is too hot?

So people spend the year complaining about crappy rainy Irish weather, and then there's a bit of sun for five minutes and someone is complaining about heat?

There's no helping some people...

    Ouch. It's summer there now.

December/January was probably the best time to go. July is cool enough too but it'll be pouring down everyday.

    Best time of the year!
Good weather, and anticipation of the summer yet to come.
It's better than the summer itself! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,633 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

It is not hot here today as 15-18 degrees is not hot. It rarely does get 'hot' here anyway, 2013 summer was good and last hot days before that I think were 2006.

It's pleasant, yes, but no more so that a pleasant Spring day should be.

Saw some one on my FB yesterday saying they were loving the Summer day and I couldn't believe it.

The jaysusin heat in my office, I reckon someone left the heating on over the weekend. It's sack-stuck-to-leg balmy in here.

I don't know if we would have left Ireland if it wasn't for the weather. Honestly, I really believe it's a cruel trick of god that we have some of the best beaches you'll find in Europe and some of the coldest sh1tty water and some of the most constantly depressingly mizzling, drizzling, ball freezing weather.

We'd be beating them away at the ports and aiports if we had warm water and predictable long hot summers with those beaches. Antrim coast, Dublin coast, Kerry, Cork, Clare, huge whacks of the west coast..you could go on & on.

It doesn't change the fact it's frigging annoying listening to people complain about the weather ALL THE TIME.

people claiming the weather isn't hot outside, do you think the rest of us have never left the country? of course there's hotter but i can tell you for sure it doesn't feel as hot when you're in one of those hot countries as it does in ireland where a skii jacket was appropriate clothing last week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,022 ✭✭✭jamesbere

Some idiot in the house last night put on the heating, could of hit him

Either way , it's still only about 17 degrees which is not hot.

It's really not. I was just scratching my head there at lunchtime at the number of people going around in shorts & t-shirts. It's nice, but it sure as shit ain't *that* nice. Dangerous weather, my mother would call it. People lose the flippin' run of themselves the second they see a bit of sun.

It's hot when you're on a packed train that is prepared and heated for typical Irish weather.

Try 50 degress. I still have a burn on my hand from closing a window last week. Where I'm living, the cheapest apartments are the ones facing East or West due to facing towards the sun rising or setting. But sure lifes about choices and if you didn't like scolding hot weather, you shouldn't have decided to live in Ireland :pac:
