Favourite bad guy

Mine would have to be Ben Kingsley as Don Logan in Sexy Beast and Ralph Fiennes as Amoen Goeth in Schindlers list.

I think the actors portrayal of both these characters was very realistic and complex. The actors manage to show how cruel, sadistic, controlling and manipulative people can be but also vulnerable, tormented and needy at the same time. I don't know if you would refer to them as "bad guy" probably more that they possibly have a mental health dissorder but you know what I mean.

Whose your favourite bad guy in film?

Gene Hackman as Little Bill Dagget in Unforgiven.

Hackman is brilliant at playing villains and has the greatest villain laugh in my opinion.

Its such a sneery derisive snort of a laugh and you really feel like punching him after he he does it.

Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men.

"No no. No. You don't understand. You can't make a deal with him. Even if you gave him the money he'd still kill you. He's a peculiar man. You could even say that he has principles. Principles that transcend money or drugs or anything like that. He's not like you. He's not even like me."

Haunting performance. Cinema at it's peak that movie. Utterly love it.

    Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds.

Gary Oldman in Leon , he was a bad bastard in that movie

For pure evil it has to be Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List. For over the top just hamming it up no one comes near Alan Rickman in both Robin Hood prince of thieves and as Hans Gruber in Die Hard.

Another good one although it was kind of more the whole scene was Christopher Walkin in True Romance. Dennis Hopper really bruises the sicillian gangsters ego when he knowingly offends him in order to get a quicker death. One of my favourite scenes in a movie.

    Hans Gruber

Holly Genero McClane: After all your posturing, all your little speeches, you're nothing but a common thief.
Hans Gruber: I am an exceptional thief, Mrs. McClane!

Al Lettieri in The Godfather, The Getaway and especially Mr Majestyk. Now there was a heavy. Such a shame he died untimely.

The great Timothy Carey in any of his 'bad guy' roles.
