Best song of the 90's according to Bressie

Watched a bit of the voice earlier and some girl on Bressies team with an awful voice was singing and she managed to get through to the quarter finals. She was singing the Oasis song Live forever which Bressie stated was the best song in the 90's and I think he is so wrong.

In my view any of the following could stake that claim.
Lenny Kravitz are you going to go my way
    Stone Temple Pilots Plush
    Blind Melon No Rain
    Pearl Jam Jeremy
    AC/DC Thunderstruck
    Manic Street Preachers Motorcylcle Emptiness
    Radiohead High and Dry
    Suede Animal Nitrate
    REM Everbody Hurts

Don't worry, she didn't, but yeah, bit of a stretch by "Bressie" *cringe* alright. Still though, I wouldn't take anything on that show seriously, it's just bloody awful tv, soon to be axed, thankfully!

Far too many brilliant songs in the '90's anyway.

In my humble opinion none of those are the best songs of the 90s either.Pointless trying to decide what was the best song of a particular decade because there are plenty of songs that were not hit singles that were great.

To think one song could be called the best song of a decade shows him up as an idiot tbh

He's probably just like everybody else that has 100 different best songs ever. My best song of the 90's would be different by the day, especially if I'd just heard a quality track from the 90's right before you asked me.

Its not even the best song on that album

Opinion cannot be right or wrong but they can be idiotic. The idea that one song is the best of a decade is idiotic to me. Of all the music produced over a ten year period the world over, the best song happens to be his favourite from that decade?? Rubbish really

Bressie is an idiot, but I agree with him there. Live Forever is Top 5 all time

Live Forever may or may not be the best song of the 90s but it beats any of the ones on your list..... 'Thunderstruck'? ffs....

It isn't exactly an eclectic mix there is it, it's all pretty much the same genre. No room for any early 90's house, techno, hip hop, even the odd pop classic by Robbie Williams or the like? By title alone I only recognise Kravitz and REM from that list.

You have no taste. Whenever Thunderstruck is played in a club, the dance floor is heaving.

Scatman is clearly the best song of the 90s

Oasis ? what were you thinking Bressie !?!?

In what kind of club? Coppers?

Champagne Supernova was my fave Oasis tune but hipsters with acoustic guitars have ruined it

You can't have more than one song being "The best" of the decade because then those various songs wouldn't be the best just one of the best.

Suede and Nirvana were the two greatest bands of the 90's.

Plenty of other good stuff during the decade, but my opening statement isn't up for debate.

Why? Was your remote control broken?

One guaranteed way to ensure you are never heard of again or have any hope of making it in the music industry is to appear on that program. To be doubly sure, you need to win it.

You can't have more than one song being "The best" of the decade because then those various songs wouldn't be the best just one of the best.

The 'best' is usually from a genre that the person likes the most, do you not see the flaw in the argument? The idea of the best song is subjective, 1 song will never be, critically or otherwise, clearly better that every other. Its ridiculous to have that mindset imo

    A lazy, uniformed opinion.

Hardly surprising given the guff he's recorded.

My favourites from the 90's apparently - based on my iTunes most played.

    1 - Spoiled (Sebadoh)
    2 - Total Peace (Sebadoh)
3 - Fade Into You (Mazzy Star)
4 - Letter to Memphis (Pixies)
5 - When The Sun Hits (Slowdive)
6 - Into Dust (Mazzy Star)
    7 - Dagger (Slowdive)
    8 - Saturday (Sparklehorse)
    9 - Spirit Ditch (Sparklehorse)
    10 - Think (Sebadoh)

1991 and 1993 songs dominate the list.

Man in the Box by AIC is the greatest single ever released in the 90s.
