It lokms like it could be a changed format as in some press releases it's being described as 'An All-New Direct' (This could just also be a way of saying it's a new Direct)

Also Kamiya (Platinum Games) has tweeted, it translates as 'Nintendo, Eh you again?' Could be Bayonetta or his rumoured other game.

I've a 12 hour flight(s) on Saturday. Metroid would be amazing for that. I've never played any of the 3D ones, just the 2D ones.

Plus Super Metroid on SNES classic.

So we can probably expect to see Animal Crossing news tonight. I'd say they did a site update, that will go live after or during the Direct. Or maybe the site did just have a technical issue.

As a (relative) newcomer to Nintendo after being away for many years, in a nutshell what is Nintendo Direct? Is it a 'State of the Union' type address or what?
