Is it possible to file ones own accounts and taxation returns or do they have to be certified by a qualified accountant first

Unless specifically required by law a solicitor, auctioneer or investment intermediary, you do not require an accountant to prepare your accounts.

No it won't but a good accountant will pay for themselves. Ask around for a few recommendations and meet some accountants and see what you think.

Good advice. It is like everything its ok until something goes wrong. Then you could have a problem.
