Are the 25 new double decker buses they have coming on stream the same spec as dublin bus SG?

Each company has their own specifications.

BE buses won't have centre doors for example.

They are specified by different teams - DB and BE maintenance are completely separate operations.

    What routes will they operate?

15 are going to Cork to expand double-deck operation there.

They will be used on Blarney, Crosshaven/Fountainstown, Ballincollig as well as city routes 205/206/208

6 are going to Galway to expand double-deck operation in that city.

    4 are going to Broadstone.

Broadstone is also getting a further 12 double-deck coaches (similar, but not identical to, the LDs used on the 109/120)

Which Broadstone routes would these be used on? the 103/105 usually have the double deckers with the more comfortable seats like on this bus bus-eireann-dublin-bus-390x285.jpg

Will these double deckers have standard city-bus type seats as seen on Dublin buses or will they have the better more comfortable seating found on older bus eireann buses?

I haven't seen any interior pics yet, but I'm led to believe that they will, like the earlier Wright/VWD class deckers with Bus Eireann, have reasonably comfortable individual seats.

I'd say the Broadstone ones will come onto the 103/105, as four older deckers are to be cascaded from Broadstone to further increase the double-deck fleet in Cork (which will end up with 35 deckers plus the one open-top).

    Galway's fleet will swell to 11 double-deckers.

So despite the NTA mandating double doors for Dublin now and some of these buses being allocated to city routes for Cork/Galway they're still single door. Where's the logic in that?

Alas, that question requires a degree of understanding of the motivations and logic structures of the NTA which is beyond your humble correspondent.
