Bertrand & Clyne probably saved my gameweek.

    35 pre bonus

The end of season post mortem has been well under way for me for a couple of weeks and I've been trying to figure out where it all went wrong (especially over my main rival who had never before this season finished above 250,000. Now he's in top 2,000)

I was finding any reason I could both this season and last to take blame away from myself for my poor seasons but the simple fact is I haven't adapted quickly enough to what's been going on in the game.

I'm not learning from past mistakes quickly enough either. I've stuck with the expensive options when they clearly weren't performing - Sanchez, Aguero, Sturridge, Yaya. I did this partly because I had the money to buy them and felt that money on the bank doesn't get you points. But you know, sometimes it does. I should have left millions itb and had Silva, Giroud, Cazorla and Puncheon / Eriksen instead of the 4 listed above.

I've been far too conservative with captain choices too. Never willing to take the risk or go with my gut and always afraid of the what if expensive player x, y or z goes bananas.
I've called opponents lucky for picking the right one. It's not all luck though and although hindsight is 20:20, I should have gone for Kane today. Aguero showing no form and what did I captain him for? It was stupid with Spurs at home to Leicester and with a striker having an absolutely amazing season. Today is just one example of poor captain choices but it's been happening all a season long.

Too much attention over this season and last had been given to price changes too. The game has changed and the need for mega money is no longer what it was. Rivals who didn't have cash had to buy the non premium option simply because they couldn't afford both the likes of Aguero, Sanchez and Costa in their team. Instead they got Giroud and Cazorla or whoever and scooped up the points. But rather than call them lucky I'm blaming myself for not buying the same players regardless of how money it'll leave in the bank.

I don't know how next season will go but I do know I'll not be consumed by price rises and I won't be afraid to leave 5m itb if it means I've a team with form players.

Went with Aguero captain tbh Kane wasn't in my thoughts it was sanchez or Austin that I had my eye on. Well done to Kane captainers the only thing that annoys me is Townsend going off just before the peno.

In joke, formerly known as that handsome Italian bastard (THIB) when times were different, plays upfront for Southampton.

Disaster of a gw so far, how the hell kun didn't score I will never know. Not captaining Kane for the dgw and now today has cost me in the region of 50 points.

The person behind in 2nd will probably go top tonight in my main money league. The dip in form of ageuro and Sanchez , two players he doesn't have, has cost me big time.

I'm still confident kun will pick up form again but it might be time to downgrade Sanchez.

I'd say Aguero against Spurs was higher.

To think he missed a peno too, could of been 5 goals.

Just on the whole captaincy thing, there are a few reason why i went for Kane.

a lot of poster on here are always going on about Pullis and how his team and defensively strong, there

If spurs scores more often than not Kane scores - there isn't really any other striker, the same cannot be said for city - they have a lot of attacking options - bony/dzeko/silva/Jovetic

Leicester are bottom of the table, on average they conceded two goals per game when they are away from home. (i think they are only 2 games this season where they haven't only conceded one)

Call up to the England squad - he would be very much buzzing and would like to score to celebrate.

On current form, i won't be captaining Aguero but i wouldn't be in the gang that are selling him.

    ESP added.
Berty 3, Clyne+Long 2 for the Saints match. Fingers crossed that means the assist is confirmed

75 including bonus points. Cresswell and Downing playing now and Terry and Hazard to go tomorrow.

I actually feel a little sorry for Aguero captainers. :o

West Ham better hurry up and score. I don't want PVA points on my bench.

It's a long time since I was happy on a Saturday in this game. 60 pre bonus. PVA, Hazard and Costa left.

Not a lot of love from Aguero owners today, wonder how many of the 7905 who have transferred him out had him as captain.

50 after bonus I think with 3 to go.

Hazard,Ivanovic and especially Costa. I need a decent score from you tomorrow.

Likely a poor score bit so be it

1-0 to hull wouldn't be a good score so?

Bar if PVA wants to score a screamer. How do Sunderland look under Advocaat? As an older manager, I was expecting them to be defensive but it looked like an attacking line-up.

Im surprised Eriksen is in the overall dream team. I didn't realise he actually had that many overall points. I thought he was about 10th or so in the mf rankings

Defoe has had a couple sighters. They're still susceptible on the flanks and if West Ham could finish they would be up a couple.
O'Shea had a chat with PvA at the end of the half

Felt it was 60/40 in favour of Kane C and gave my reasons why earlier. Didn't expect such a large difference. Expected perhaps an assist or a goal in favour of Harry, not 15 points.

68 with Ivan, Hazard and Austin to play. Austin really needs to get a goal after Girouds antics.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,405 ✭✭✭✭km79

    very poor game this
Sunderland bizarrely look much more dangerous through Defoe in particular !
    PVA making nice runs too
    sahko just gone close
