Sorry if the title suggests a more interesting subject... but.. im curious, for those with partners do you go to bed the same time?? Over the last few years I normally go to bed a few hours after my wife, id watch a movie, play the Playstation etc.... probably 5 nights a week.

To add, we normally get the bedroom business sorted in mornings or when we get back form work..

So, is this normal or what...???

My missus goes hours before me. I couldn't possibly go at the same time so I lie with her until she gets sleepy and then get up..... only to go to bed a few hours later.

    It works for us.

What is normal? Normal is what normal is to you.

I tend to go to bed a few hours later than my OH, especially at weekends.

I also tend to watch Netflix or a boxset in bed. We have compromised on that one - she wears a sleep eye mask thing and I use a set of wireless earphones... Damn good set up all round

We go at the same time, we chat and cuddle and then he sleeps and I go on my phone for a few hours.

We never sleep at the same time. Sometimes she works nights, and when she's working days, she has to sleep early. In these cases I just go to bed with her until she falls asleep, and then go downstairs and tidy up or read.

She needs way more sleep than I do, because my job is less stressful and also… maybe women need more sleep? Seems to be the pattern on this thread, anyway.

Varies totally - sometimes yes sometimes no. Sometimes we even go to different bedrooms as each other - sometimes the same ones. All comes down to how the day has been - and what the coming day has planned for it - or if I or they feel they need company or a night sprawled out in a bed by ourselves - mine all mine :)

I go to bed with my oh at the same time most nights. I might stay up on the i pad or fall asleep together but generally same time.

My wife and I have different bedrooms so makes no difference.

Me and my mot have different time zones so I'm not sure.

I go to bed after my OH. I could not go to bed with her all the time, it is just to early and it is the only time I get to give the Xbox a go or watch some documentaries that she would never watch in a million years.

We seem to be in the minority in that we usually retire at the same time.
Don't have games consol which seems a common reason not to, no interest in one either. We'd watch similar TV stuff and TV usually only goes on when were both finished jobs.

We'd be very similar to this. We don't watch much tv though. Lying in bed is usually where we catch up on chatting about the day and planning out the following day. It's generally one of the few times when we don't have kids climbing over us so I guess it's an important chat time for both of us.

    The OH likes her sleep.
I like watching an hour or so of extra Netflix in the evenings.

So usually different times, unless she entices me upstairs for specific reasons.

Would normally go a while after she does. Think it started after we had kids as that time would be only time I would have to play the Xbox or watch stuff you wouldn't with them around.

I know, its as if people enjoyed playing videogames or something, gas. :P

You'd love my house, I've three arcade machines in my kitchen. I used to stay down and play them when the ex missus went to bed. The new missus stays up and kicks the **** out of me in Soul Calibur 2.

Due to conflicting work shift patterns I would often be getting up for work two hours after she got into the bed...ships in the night!

TV would be something of a letdown if its the Jobs I'm thinking of.

When I'm pregnant or have a newborn I tend to go to bed early out of sheer exhaustion, but all things being equal I'm more of a night owl. I like the space to potter around without having to answer a million questions or attend to little people. My oh goes through phases of getting up at the crack of dawn to exercise which means that he sometimes goes up very early.

I read somewhere that one of the best things you can do to improve your sex life is to go to bed at the same time. I might have read that in some terrible women's mag so I can't vouch for its authenticity.

I do eat the odd sweet, and we both cycle bikes a lot... shame on us all......!

    Thanks for your input

100% of the time when she's upstairs asleep and I'm downstairs watching telly we are not having sex.

Like most blokes I stay down after she's gone up and put on the porn channel with the sound down.
