5x5 without squats & deadlifts?

So I hurt my back doing deadlifts the week before last. 2nd last rep of the last set so I was nearly there but I must have curved my back and now have to take an enforced break now. It's been quite bad but I'm keen to crack on with things when I heal.

Anyway, my physio has recommended that I don't do any squats or deadlifts for a significant period of time after the discomfort goes away as I'll need to build some strength in my lower back. Seeing as those two form quite a large part of the 5x5 (which is what I was doing), can I just replace them with seated leg press and another similar exercise and continue with 5x5 or would I be better off looking at a different program altogether?

Just go do Cube Predator if you can't do any meaningful lowerbody training.
