OK so I don't think my mast does 4G. But three claim it does.
So I was thinking of buying a Huawei B593s and getting prepay broadband for a month to test.
Any advice? Has anyone done it?
If you buy it from three and it doesn't work can you unlock it and flog it on ebay afterwards (since apparently they are not offering loan on the 4G routers).
I can get 4G on town centre masts. Just not on my local mast...

    Thanks

    Imogen

Wouldn't you be better checking with another phone? I presume you are using an iphone. Do you know anyone with an android 4g compatible handset to check it for you?

Yes apparently it's my phone because it's an iPhone 5 but the mast does 900 4G according to a poster in another thread.

So I still don't understand if it's worth trying the broadband modem...

It will. B593s-22 uses the following: 4G: LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz

well three are selling it themselves so it must work :)
    http://www.three.ie/eshop/broadband-plans/bill-pay-broadband/
€79 for the router and then €35 for 60gb per month for 1 year contract.
