It's not being sold by Pixmania, but a company called ELITEGSM. Can't be certain how legit it is, or if perhaps the pricing is in error.

They have 100% positive feedback on their page. As long its a European model I will be happy, as it will come with the full EU warranty. Tempted.

I took a chance on this myself last night. Ordered two: one for the girlfriend and one for myself. Received an email this morning to say the parcel has been dispatched and should arrive before March 30th. Paid with PayPal... just to be on the safe-side.

I was contemplating an upgrade to an S4 but I've had too many friends have reliability problems with them. Has this changed with the S5?

Also, it seems as of the S4 that Samsung tried to lock down the phone to it's stock ROM. Is that true? A quick search brings up several custom ROMs for the S5 so I assume it's no problem getting rid of TouchWiz but would be great to have it verified there were no gotchas.

It's an excellent phone. The display is amazing and only bested by the Note 4. Excellent phone for that price. Even the 420 it has jumped too.

A quick update on my order: It was on the status of "Shipment ready to be shipped" on 13 March. Nothing happened or changed until this morning when it now says "Shipment in transit". So I guess it is on the way. What 'it' is remains to be determined, but I hope two Samsung S5s... :P

I got the S5 a couple of weeks ago from 3 on bill pay. Jumped at it when they had a 24hr deal offering a free tab 4 8.0 if you signed up then.

Gotta say I love the phone, but to take advantage of the whole experience it has to use a lot of bandwidth.

Its the white one that is E387, but when u click on deals and add it to cart it is 373 including packaging. I just bought it.

The S5 from Amazon.de looks great, but I read in the reviews that the reason for it being so cheap is because it is customised for a German market and certain features are disabled or not included. Anybody know the exact differences between German and EU versions?

Think you got it all wrong, Galaxy S6 is coming in early April so price will naturally fall down. Don't think there are any features missing.

But the German version is much cheaper than the already reduced UK version. I can understand why he'd be worried.

UK version is way more expensive because EUR currency is sinking. I would be reluctant to buy anything on Amazon UK.

Update: Received my two S5s today from DHL. Chronopost (very bad reputation, apparently) delivered it to Ireland last night and it was out for delivery today. I thought DPD were partners, but I received a call from DHL and they brought me the parcel.

Packaging was in very good condition and both S5s inside. I have opened one (my one, as the other is for my girlfriend) and it is a very nice presentation. See picture. It appears to be a EU/UK model as instructions/warranty/manual, etc are in English and German. My current SIM won't work as I am still rocking a Nokia 6700 (Yeah, 6 years old and still going strong) and this is my first smartphone. Leaving it on charge now (as the instructions suggest) and heading over to 3 to get a new SIM card.

Despite the bad reviews about ELITEGSM and Chronopost I really can't fault this order so far. They said it would be delivered by 30 March and it arrived one week early. All in all, 2x Samsung S5s for €748.

All the amazon.de prices skyrocketed today for some unknown reason. Maybe people read the reviews for the new m9 and decided there was no reason to buy it.

Bit of a shock though when your are expecting prices to go down. I wish I'd bought it during the weekend. Might get a one plus or just hold off altogether.
