Chelsea have the slight edge going into tonights 2nd leg Round of 16 game with PSG.

At the QF stage last year Chelsea overturned a 2 goal deficit to go through, PSG will be hoping they win tonight and get some revenge foe that night.

    Team news :

    Chelsea
Chelsea’s only injury that is a certainty to miss the Wednesday evening match is John Obi Mike. The Nigerian midfielder could be at least 4 weeks away from any potential return. That will be more of a loss than expected as you could see Mourinho wanted Mikel to come on in typical fashion to play the game out with half an hour or so to go. Big news for Chelsea fans was that Nemanja Matic will be fit to face PSG on Wednesday.

    PSG
In terms of injuries for PSG, Lauren Blanc hopes to have midfielder Yohan Cabaye back in the side after recovering from a thigh injury. However, Blanc will continue to be without Brazilian winger Lucas Moura and right-back Serge Aurier both of who were also injured for the first leg a few weeks ago.

    Some stats:
Should PSG be triumphant it would be their 3rd consecutive appearance in the Champions League Quarter-Finals.

Chelsea will reach their 4th Quarter-Final in 5 years should they progress

    Likely Chelsea team is

    Courtois
    Ivan Cahill JT Azp
    Matic Ramires#
    Willian Cesc Hazard
    Costa

    PSG

    Sirigu
    VDW Marquinhos Silva Maxwell
    Veratti Luiz Matuidi
    Lavedzzi Ibra Cavani

Can see Chelsea winning 2-1 probably AET.

Wouldn't surprise me to Oscar/Cuadrado instead of Ramires. Don't think Zouma get's the nod tonight though. Can't wait!

Heard on the radio this morning that the PSG players are on €250k bouns a man to win the match.

Zouma looks a great player, nice and calm for such a youngster but I wouldn't chance him tonight. I would love Oscar to play he has a goal threat about him that Rambo doesn't but on the other hand his energy willingness to run and get beyond players as well as track back give Rambo a big nod, just a shame about his overall finishing.

Looking at the team line outs you have put up makes me feel a little more confident.

Chelsea should win this one fairly easily

Its a progression bonus, if they get through the QF they get 500K, through the SF 750K and win it 1million.

Good incentive but I dont think many will be thinking of the money. *

    Crazy incentives.

They'd essentially spend the majority of the €50m they get for winning the tournament on bonuses.

I wonder are bonuses covered in FFP. Because winning the CL gives a team serious spending power but it looks like they'd have it spent before the transfer window even opens.

I think they have picked up money for getting to the last 16, going on the increase in bonuses theyve probably picked uo 125k for getting here, which isnt too bad as a few of them would be on that money anyway.

he hasn't scored or even got an assist when he's played against any of Mourinho's teams.

On tube on my way now to meet my dad, he is **** with phones and has no data, if he finds his way to the pret a manager I showed him on street view last night and I find him then we will definitely win, that and the fact I have a seven out of seven win record for seeing Chelsea live. Come on the blues.

Will be interesting to see how Mourinho approaches this.

A clean sheet sees them through and we know there is no better defensive master than Mourinho and Chelsea have a defence well-suited to parking the bus as has been exemplified.

On the other hand they are at home and will feel they have the beating of PSG.

PSG will need to survive the early stages where Chelsea will likely come at them and then find some way of breaking down the wall late on. It will be tough, because when it comes to hanging onto a lead there's possibly no better team out there at just shutting up shop, but PSG do have quality players to come with a goal from nothing.

The early stages will probably define what type of game this will be, but I predict a low scorer and maybe a 1-0 Chelsea win.

Looking forward to it anyway, these CL games balanced on just a goal are always fascinating to watch

Attack is best form of defence for Chelsea, they cant expect to keep Ibra out for the full 90 mins. The big head on Luiz, if he scores tonight, well, :D
