Ludik out so Gilroy to full back and Scholes to the wing.

Wish I could tell the stream guy to press the red button, my Welsh is a bit rusty.

Reggie Corrigan commentating on an Ulster game on BBC? Bit strange

Rustiness from Tuohy there you'd imagine

    He has missed two already.

    3-0 Dragons.

Aww why didn't Tuohy get that away to Henderson!

That's embarrassing Humphreys... He just hates tackling!

What was Williams at there? Gilroy looking good... #gilroyforireland

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Williams having one of his dodgy days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Another Williams error. What was that? You wouldn't see a pass off the base like that in a J5 game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Unlucky from Hendo, weird body position.

William almost gave another pen away there, he's flying off his feet at every ruck.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Gaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Worst attempted clearout ever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Hendo poaching there. Who said he couldn't? :P

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    TRY Gilroy. :)

    Well done Rory Scholes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Thought Scholes was gonna ruin that, but did very well. Gilroy playing really, really well at 15.

You'd have to question Pienaar's decision making here, he's losing Ulster a lot of territory.

AR taking the piss there, went out about 4-5m away from there.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    Pienaar has been crap.

I actually thought I'd missed a score, had to go check the score on the BBC website!

    Oh yea... :o

We are a sack of ****e today again.

Not enough big guys running hard. The backline seem well capable of exploiting it when they're given it.

It's very, very similar to last night's game. Really poor value from possession thanks to poor half back play, putting the rest of the team under pressure and giving the opposition opportunities to get on the board.

We're just lulling all the Welsh lads into a false sense of security for next week.

  • How on earth was that a penalty?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Harsh call, turnover was effected before tackle completed.

  • iHumph for Ireland!

It wasn't really, Amos still had his arms on it and Scholes was the tackler. Can go either way on that one.

Tell you what, as muck as we've been playing recently Gilroy has gotten into a right wee bitta form. Hungry for everything it seems. Nice to see, interested in seeing what Sam Arnold can do when he's on later too.. (if he gets on)

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    FOR FCUK SAKE HUMPH.

  • Great turnover from Williams.

If Ulster straighten up earlier there that would've been a simple try imo

Just on what Reggie was saying there... was thinking about this earlier. Is it a crazy decision? RK does it and sometimes I think the rules support the attacking team too much there. You get a 22 drop out. Look at where Ulster are playing now.

I was going to post something similar and to an extent I'd agree, but there must be more to the rules surely. I guess it's easy enough to counter by the kick-off going much deeper

If 10/12 members of your team are ahead of the ball I think it's a decent option. The alternative is to try and spread the ball wide with 2/3 in support, or else to find your pack and setup a ruck mid way between 22 and 10m.

So long as you can 'guarantee' (9/10) that you have the distance then it's fine. A terrible result would be to scuff it, putting your entire team offside.

    Here comes the yellow.

Nope, last warning. Williams lucky not to be carded.

what exactly was he talking about?

Humph tried a DG attempt from the halfway line. Went dead so it's a 22 drop out. Dragons try a short one and end up conceding an easy penalty. So I'm just wondering to myself, will teams use it as a tactic to get better territory.

When 10/15 collects the ball from a missed touch just outside the opposition half and has a punt at a drop goal.

He definitely had his hand down at his pocket! Dudley doesn't deliver though.

Can anyone hear like a buzzing noise coming from their TV for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 981 ✭✭✭Scythica

Basically he was saying he didn't agree with teams drop kicking straight after the kick off when you have the majority of your team around you / no penalty advantage etc. Why not truck it up a few times at least.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,619 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

What is Henderson supposed to do there?
