Hi all, I'm a 17 year old student, I'm starting to get more into compound excercises rather than isolation, my workout consists of squats, bench press, deadlifts and then I do barbell row and sometimes shrugs, I'm just wondering is it ok to do this workout 5 times a week mon-fri, because I don't take protein shakes or anything but eat alot??

Yeah sounds good, if it's what you wanna do then have at it and see what happens.

I wouldnt be able to squat and deadlift 5 times a week though,i find they just drain me but if youre able to then go for it. Have you thought about looking at a program like stronglifts 5x5 or something similar if you want to do those compound excercises, ive never used one but loads of people i know say they're great for making progress early on

Yeah I've looked at stronglifts 5x5, looks good so Ive put it into my workout I do squat, deadlifts and bench 5 reps by 5 sets and I can easily put more weight on and manage to get 5reps.
