I wouldn't be able to google a killer answer to this thread.

If it all went, I'd just travel on a destination to the Mojave tribe in nevada and live with them in-taking their world and of course ayahuasca in my new existence.

People would call you to tell you that they're at the airport about to go on holiday.

I also imagine I'd get a lot of post consisting of polaroids of people's dinners.

Minor inconvenience for a while, but life would go on. What you young whippersnappers forget is that most remember a world without internet, and we could back to it, and survive quite well, albeit reluctantly.

Different story in fifty or sixty years time, yous would be like the Eloi from The Time Machine. :p

Before the internet came to Ireland it was reading humongous amounts of books. So if the net died, just go back to reading books so all good in my book.

US armed forces interface with the internet so they'd be scrambling for a fix.

Arguments in pubs would have to be settled in the library or by ringing the county secretary

Just don't forget the head-on solar-flare as all the drones will drop from the sky and satellites will be cooked to the bone If your time to you Is worth savin. Then you better start swimmin or you'll sink like a stone for the times they are a-changin.

A solar flare is likely the only way the thread title could happen, in fact it probably will this century, it has happened before but it was in the late 1800's and there was only telegraph poles to be knocked out. Would be a few months before the world would get back its electricity.

I would become a part of the most employable people as others beg for the return.

Although we would probably be lost too as turning it off and on again wont work and we cant google it.

I might actually do some work in my office drone job!

Luckily I have stored up 14gb of porn for such circumstances so I should be ok until September.

I used to be a great believer in free speech. Although that was before the internet.

You'd have to ring Mick's garage for parts..
You'd have to ring hotels to book, or see if there's free rooms.
Have to start actually going to the bank. Do they still open crap hours?

You'd have to make up your own mind on what to be offended about, without boards to validate your grievances.

    None.

    We'd all just have tea.

    Then maybe some cake.

I know most people have answered this question as taking it as what would happen if they had no internet access but if the internet actually stopped working worldwide the damage would be enormous as most things from traffic lights to power stations to the stock market rely heavily on the internet. Within minutes of it stopping working there would be car crashes and power cuts all around the world. The world relies so much on the internet these days that it would be very hard to continue without it.

Boards would stop and Gordon DAV and tom Dunne would be out of a job.

Think those lads bar David have separate jobs.

The business & financial world would collapse in total chaos if the internet failed and trading stopped, no online banking/shopping and the like.
on the other hand, we wouldn't get any more support calls from"microsoft"

Think I'd finally do something productive.

New mothers would be seen wandering the streets with pictures of their newborns asking people:

"DO YOU LIKE THIS! TICK THIS BOX IF YOU LIKE THIS PICTURE. YOU CAN WRITE SOMETHING UNDERNEATH TOO!"

Teenage girls will do the same with pictures of themselves.

It's those poor Nigerian princes and bank managers who will have no way of contacting me to transfer all those funds to my accounts that I think will suffer the most!!

It will also be a return to that staple of every teenage guys room prior to the millennium......sticky pages!!!

    Is your cooking that bad?

I wouldn't know what people had for dinner every day and my soul would therefore be crushed!

I'd hit the books but would somehow manage to F5 the page.
