''Top puppy and kitty, Welsh Megaman. Mad for it.''

Coming up on the show this week, the brilliant Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be in to perform two songs and Noel will be chatting with Brendan as well about the new album, life and the future. One of the hardest working women in television, Kathryn Thomas, will be in following the series finale of Operation Transformation and the beginning of the live shows on The Voice, she’ll also be telling Brendan about her new business venture. The always outspoken Joe Brolly will be in to talk about life after donating his kidney and how things are looking in the world of GAA. Tune in at 9.35pm and enjoy!!

Some Might Say there will be a lot of good Talk Tonight with Noel. So just Roll With It and Stop Crying Your Heart Out...

I'll be in my Rockin' Chair hoping someone will Pass Me Down The Wine. I won't Step Out tonight, I'll be Going Nowhere until the SNS is over even if I Fade Away before the end,

Where did it all Go Wrong? :)

    Whatever, dudes.

SNS hasn't always been great, but you'd have to say It's Getting Better, Man. In fact Some Might Say D'Arcy can do one, Brendan's style will Live Forever.

    And another thing, I...

Hang on, the dog's at the back door. Better Go Let It Out.

(Edit: Dammit missed Welshie's some might say)

Ha, Even a blind man could see the similarities there.

It's a shame Step Out got deleted from the (What's The Story?) Morning Glory tracklist after Little Stevie had a listen (and before the album was released). I like it a lot.

    Joe Brolly again.

Jesus wept, he's been interviewed about that friggin kidney more often than Scotland lose in the Six Nations. He was only on with Ray D'Arcy the other day cursing and swearing about his non existent natural filtration organ. He must have gone straight to the RTÉ canteen afterwards and bumped into Kathryn Thomas while he was there. (Assuming he's allowed in there.)

At least the Hurler will be a happy man tonight. A big fan of Joe Brolly is our County Hurler ;).

Speaking of him, I wonder how he's getting on with the jokes. Remember last week he promised us he'd write better opening jokes than the ones Brendan O'Connor comes out with at the start of the show? :)

I can't wait for them, can you? I bet they'll be hilarious :D

Oh one more thing. The Sling Thing. Gone I reckon.

I cant believe he's on again... everybody's heard the story at this stage, and like you said he was on with D'Arcy during the week... Plus he all over the TV at the moment cos he's apparently got a new job with The Sunday Times.... Interesting to see how he gets on with Kimmage...

Gonna try and enjoy the show tonight.. I wasnt well last week as I made a meal and threw it up on Sunday...

RTE does know that Noel Gallagher was famous in the 1990s? You'd swear they had Elvis on when he was in his prime on the programme tonight.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

In fairness Gallagher is still a big name. It's not like he was famous for a while in the 90s, then disappeared into oblivion and is now making some kind of a comeback to pay the bills.

The man was always a boss.

We're not talking about some Chesney Hawkes act here.

I've come across a lot of media stuff on Gallagher all week! They are really backward if they think he's still an A list celeb.

I take your point, but it's only a couple of weeks since a fella was interviewed because he said "You wouldn't be long getting frostbit" in a funny accent.

I say we take tonight's line up and run.

As I said in last week's thread, not a fan of Noel/Oasis/Beady Eye musically (even though I saw Oasis at Maine Road and Knebworth   ), but Noel always gives entertaining interviews - never afraid to speak his mind. :)

I find it amusing that a fella (& his brother) who were so famously inspired by The Beatles (who went from mop tops to psychedelia to the beards and long hair of Abbey Rd in 7 years) have looked exactly the same for twenty years.

This is kinda good I have to admit.

So Oasis mime their live performances now?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,657 ✭✭✭CountyHurler

He's not getting in to the spirit of the whole miming thing..

This is by far the best openings we have ever had to the SNS ever.

I also think this song is an instant hit when I first heard it on the radio. It is truly outstanding. :D

They had a wrap party at the end of Operation Transformation... They learned from last year when they had a white sandwich party and everybody went on a carbohydrate binge..

There's no need for the lycra... that's just for the sensationalism..

    Kathryn looks a bit haggard.

Bull****. It's purely to humiliate people. No makeup or nail varnish even??? What difference would that make to a weigh-in? There is no need to have those people in lycra. What a hateful programme.

I've been wary of Kathryn since she went on the LLS demanding that Employers should pay for Women to freeze their eggs until they were ready to have children.

She lost her temper and came across as rather aggressive.
