Tyson fury v Hammer

This Saturday night on boxnation the big man is out again.

Haven't seen anything of the Hammer but he's a decent record and it's a fairly risky fight for Fury with him being mandatory challenger to Klitscho.

Still I see this as being target practice for Tyson, leading to a ko around the 6th round.

    Any thoughts?

I'd agree with yourself. Stoppage for Fury in the middle rounds with him working behind the jab and breaking him down. Don't be surprised to see frequent switch hitting.

It will surely be more competitive than the Chisora fight. Wouldn't be hard I suppose.

Fury himself has been saying he hasn't been preparing seriously for Hammer and that he is out of shape. Not sure what to make of that but I'd expect him to weigh much more than against Chisora

I'd say he will be happy to get in a brawl with Hammer, who luckily doesn't seem to have much power.

Wasn't Fury's aul lad jailed for 11 years in 2011 for gouging someone's eye out? What the scumbag doing out.

EDIT, was cut to 9 on appeal, out in half.

    Hammer 248
    Fury 260

Fury is lighter than against Chisora but looks softer. Then again I think he weighed in with weighted tracksuit bottoms against Delboy.

Think Tyson is being slightly sarcastic there, as far as I know his training has gone well and he's not looking past Hammer like he says in that interview. He needs more shillings to take interviews serious :)

Thought he actually looked in decent condition as did Hammer.

Do people still take what Fury says seriously? If he told ye the sky was blue you should take it with a pinch of salt.

Looking forward to Eubank JR vs Chudinov.

It's quite surprising that Eubank is straight back in with such a high ranked unbeaten fighter. Boxrec have Chudinov at #14

Wiki is quite funny. It says...
Having initially been denied the opportunity to fight for Ireland at the Olympic Games, he is permitted to represent both Great Britain and Ireland after tracing his family lineage to relatives in Belfast.[3][4] He has represented both England and Ireland at amateur level

    Then next paragraph it says...
His father is from Tuam, County Galway and his maternal grandmother is from County Tipperary

What, did they forget the parents when tracing his family lineage first time?
Also says he is a cousin of Lee which i never knew.
I know its wikipedia thats from, but i found it quite funny...

His father really needs to start watching some more HW men of he thinks that Chisora is a top 3 HW.

Get this fight done with and start fighting men with pulses. I sort of like Fury, but IMO he is a KO waiting to happen. Something too ponderous about him.

If he fought Joshua or Wilder or Klit tomorrow he'd last a total of 8 rds. Each man would take 2-3 rds max to KO him

Tyson Fury should win easy as he would be too good for Joe Frazier.

When he gives himself space and doesn't smother his work Eubank can look impressive.

    Lovely display in the 6th.

Eubank needed 2-3 of these type fights before he stepped up to fight bjs. Would of been a different result in 18 months. He is progressing along well.

How is this lad still going?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,430 ✭✭✭megadodge

He's entertaining but that opponent was made for Eubank. I still feel that Eubank boxes like a novice. Lack of a jab tonight and I think he could of got rid of that Russian earlier if he threw more bodyshots.

I suppose in boxing terms. He is a novice. What age did he start was it 17
