Hello, I have my laptop a couple of years now, it's a packard bell easynote and suits me fine. It has a CDrive capacity of 576GB. For the first year and a half it was fine. The odd download would take up a gig here or a gig there. All was fine, there were over 540 free gb on the cdrive.

I noticed a few months back the the gb all of a sudden were leaping off the computer in chunks. Every time I check the cdrive which is every few days or so a few more gigs have evaporated into thin air. I'm not downloading anything so I just don't understand what's happening. Currently it's 344GB. Is this normal? Any information on this from you techies would be much appreciated.
