Google Harris hawk, red tail hawk and common buzzard and see if any of those are what you seen
If buzzard then it's wild buzzard
If the other two it's a lost falconry bird

Sorry to bump.. but, I feel grassroot1 is reaching out here. Mods, feel free to remove my bumper post.

Can any experts give advice the good samaritan how to feed, care for the lost bird? Or even take the bird off his/her hands? I doubt every single falconer is on boards.ie. There maybe a worried owner out there. It would be nice to hear a good ending/home for the lost bird.

Op, pm a lad on this called apeowners
He's a falconer I know and we used to be on Irish falconry forum but that **** down
I don't do falconry anymore but he still does I'm sure he's on a website that can find out who owns it.
As for finding a bird there'll be a ring on its leg and contact npws and they'll find the owner if they're a registered falconer if course with a licence. There's too many lads with bops illegally so don't hold your breath.
