Rock legend and lothario, Mick Jagger, 71, is apparently dating a 28 year old woman named Alicia Rountree, the former girlfriend of actor Jude Law, 42.

Over the decades it is believed that Jagger has bedded literally thousands of woman.

Apparently legions of feminists are in uproar and are screaming about the patriarchy again.

Should he or can he be stopped? :D

I find my life is so much simpler if I just forget about the existence of "celebrities" and ignore them when they are not on the screen, radio, whatever.

People will say that wealth and celebrity are the real reason why Jagger is still bedding beautiful young things.
Can that accusation really be sustained?
Jagger is a man with raw energy, passion and brazen charm.
Men who are one third of his age can't get women because they are insecure, socially inept and plain lazy.
People who attack Jagger are just jealous.
Men want to be him and women want to be with him.
    Simple.

Think of all the insipid wussy so-called stars in pop music at the moment e.g. Ed Sheeran ffs!

None of these feminized pansies come close to Jagger. A real MAN.

While I have a huge amount of respect and frankly sheer awe at how fit Mick is for a man of any age, you might want to look back in his history before you build your homophobic "real man" statue to him(no homo, no doubt...).

Jagger was seen by the usual knuckle draggers as a "feminised pansy" back in the day. He was the original androgynous, cross dressing, sexually "curious" rock star. Man skirts, eyeliner, lippy and rouge was the order of the day for quite a while and he was caught in bed with a Mr Bowie at one point. He came across as extremely "effeminate" for the hard of thinking and this was remarked on often in the press of the time, as were snide accusations of man love. Mr Sheeran looks like a hairy chested lumberjack compared to Jagger when they were of similar age.

It always amused me how some rock stars garner "real man" accolades from some. The 80's was a classic for it. Where you had "heavy metal" bands that were squeezed into spandex and spent two hours in makeup and hair before "rocking hard" on stage. :pac:

As for his age gap girlfriend? Good luck to him I say, more power to his elbow and other body parts. How does he do it? Well yes he is extremely fit, has a great head of hair, but it's a long time since he was the "beautiful boy" of 60's/70's music. It's his reputation and money and talent and legend that gets them in. And again fair play, but he is so far out of the sphere of normal male life you'd need the services of the Hubble telescope to see him.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

No he shouldn't. Not if he doesn't want to. He's raised his kids, he's single...he can do what he wants.

    Same here.

As an aside, a cursory glance at the interwebs reveals that Mick is 74. Jaw meet floor.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

If I was still able to go out with and bed a 28 year old model when I'm 74, the only way for someone to stop me would be to shoot me.

Let them at it. They're both consenting adults. Once nobody is getting hurt, let them at it. It's nobody else's business, really.

And then, of course, the "lad" in me is there screaming: "Go on, my son! Give her one for me!" as well. So yeah. :D

No. He shouldn't be dating at all, seeing as he's married. :P

If a man wears make up or dresses effeminately or sleeps with men is neither here nor there. A man with balls, tough in cheek charm and bold brazenness is what I am talking about. This is why Jagger is an exciting sexual adventurer and why wussies and painful pathetic milksops like Ed Sheeran are here today and gone tomorrow. Jagger is a throwback to the dashing bounders and libertines of yesteryear like John Wilmot, Marquis de Sade, Lord Byron, Pierre Choderlos de Laclos and Giacomo Casanova.

Do you have a link to said uproar? I'm genuinely curious.

The woman in question is 28 and well capable of making her own decisions.

This, a million times. All these arguments about "age" imply that the "poor woman" is actually lacking a brain and responsibility for her own actions. If she gets her wheels going with a 74 years old man, it's her business. If it was the other way around, there would be some smirking comments about the "toy boy" but nobody would get up in arms.

I'd say these arguments are more harmful to women than men in these instances.

Yet you used the words "feminized pansies" to describe other men who aren't "real" according to you? Boy that's some disconnect you got going on there. :pac:

The legions of feminists in uproar have been a bit low key about it, since I never heard anything about it.

He can date whoever he wants, they're both adults.

A man can get in touch with his feminine side but not surrender his man card. Mick Jagger and Warren Beatty and Marlon Brando and other legendary ladykillers are examples.

The "feminized pansies" I was referring to such as Ed Sheeran and others are men who are effeminate with no purpose. They aren't getting any women by doing it and they are not gay either. Why are they behaving in this self-destructive way except through emasculated self-hate?

Flamboyantly gay stars like Freddy Mercury, Elton John, George Michael and Boy George had numerous gay sexual conquests. They are highly masculine gay counterparts to Jagger who is the ultimate hetero man.

Self-hate? Really? They're dressing and presenting themselves in ways that make them feel good about themselves.

A string of one-night stands and sexual encounters is what constitutes the "ultimate hetero man"? Why?

It's a very narrow definition of masculinity if it's based solely on numbers of sexual partners. A one-faceted person is a boring person.

I find it a bit sad to be honest. There's more to life than chasing after sexual partners.

If they aren't bedding women like the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin were or the hair rock bands of the 1980s like Europe and Def Leppard did then what is the point?

Rock heroes should be having Caligula scale orgies of debauchery because the apocalypse is over the next hill.

He's an adult, she's an adult, I'm inclined to assume they can make decisions as adults

(Not really sure why this one should be any more controversial than large age gap relationships involving Sam Taylor Wood, Pavarotti, Cher, Harrison Ford,......)

The music? Doing something they love? There's more to life than sex.

The purpose of the music is to get women.
    Why?

Why? In the heydey of the big rock bands in the 1960s and 1970s women literally queued up to have sex with the likes of Robert Plant, Mick Jagger, Keith Moon etc. Their lifestyles were endless group sex with multiple women.
