Without even looking I will guess Juneau, Alaska. How about this one?

    Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Ehh what are we supposed to do now ?

This thread has taken a bizarre tangent that could be best suited to a new thread, no?

Yeah, I've no idea what's going on.

Yeah, I think a "new guess location game" with themes may be the way to go in a new thread?

My suggestion is we should stick this idea in a new thread with a title something like 'Where in the World Quiz?' And then move the few posts already here over.

Okay, confirm that was Santa Fe, NM -- the "Roundhouse" is their state capitol. Also, I did eventually confirm on google earth that the earlier picture posted was indeed Juneau, Alaska.

As to the tangent, I would say no need to do anything other than have the last successful poster ( jmayo ) post any picture and we'll drop this state capitals theme.

By the way, I did not do an exhaustive search but found that three states (Nebraska, North Dakota and Louisiana) have giant white skyscrapers for their state legislative buildings, Hawaii would qualify (no dome) and Arizona has a bit of a dome but more like a cupola. And Ohio has a circular feature on top but no actual dome.

Many of the other ones are very similar to the federal version.

So yeah, my suggestion then is that we just get back to the normal order of business and move on from this little diversion. I don't think we need to start any new thread or move any posts if we just keep going from here.

I mentioned seven above (AK, HI, AZ? NM NE LA ND) and possibly OH for eight, so does that overlap your list of ten and which other two or three are there?

    According to Wikipedia:
Eleven of the fifty state capitols do not feature a dome: the Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee and Virginia state capitols

Thanks, I wasn't counting Oregon because it has a dome-like structure that is just slightly different in that the sides are squared off and not rounded. Anyway, enough state capital dome talk, let's move on to the next photo, I would say, jmayo is up.

Border crossing between Hrvatska and Srbija? The one at Sid, not Batrovci.

    Yes.
You added the Sid bit afterwards did you not ?
Also your use of actual country's name threw me.

Oh and I was looking at it from the Croatian direction so considered it Torvarnik rather than the Serbian Sid side.
I didn't even notice what was town on Serb side called.

    That was quick.
    Well done.

Yes, sorry for any confusion, when I started the edit, your 10:05 post wasn't showing so I didn't create a new post. In hindsight, I should have.
I crossed there a month ago, avoiding the queues at Batrovci.
For some reason, I always think of border crossings in the native language, perhaps because there are so many signs informing you of where exactly you are.
Things are much grimmer there now :(

Correct. One of the more surreal border crossings.
    Especially the guard shouting contest.
