Chrome not deleting cookies

I have Chrome browser set to delete cookies when the browser is closed. It is ignoring this setting, and cookies seem to remain until manually deleted.

    Cookie-fraud/negligence.

One wonders when dataprivacy.ie plans to launch a class action against google on behalf of Chrome users, so that they can share their $10 compensation each?

Cookie settings are hardly "advanced" settings, the sub-heading under which google has chosen to put them.

Google is being nasty and evil in my view.

Using 40.0.2214.115 64 bit on Win 7 - however, the "defect" has been in place for many legacy versions.
