Never thought of that scenario, would assume Clutch would be announced alongside them if happened.

Yea true , just thought with them doing the co headline tour with Mastodon in America they might just be Special Guests over here.

F*ck Yes. Missed them last year, saw them the year before. Are they touring a new album, or an anniversary of an older release maybe?

It's a new album they have coming out.

Regarding clutch, could be special guest, we can hope for now.

Bloody hell, STOP announcing deadly gigs already!! My days allowed from work are very cagey.

Belfast on the Sunday might suit better in that regard what are gigs in the Ulster Hall like? Decisions, Decisions.

Great news. Already have tickets for the Dublin gig, but really cannot pass up the chance to see them in my city. Looks like two gigs in a row it is!

Any idea when the Cork tickets go on sale?

Diamond Head is purposely a late show now due to people interested in going to Mastodon.

It was great, it looks like they genuinely do love playing here and aren't just saying it for the sake of it like most bands do. Not only do they come here regularly but this time they came here without even paying england a visit, and they played a Cork show which is odd for a band like themselves. Can't wait to see them again

They'd be contracted to Reading/Leeds though so imagine it's not negotiable to play gigs elsewhere in England, last time they were here they filmed Game of Thrones so imagine only good times spent here, think Bill has family in Kerry too.

Going tonight, some great reviews last 2 nights hopefully they not too tired, am I right in saying the Bad Breeding crowd aren't worth watching?

Not entirely correct, normally only the headliners, maybe second on the bill too would have an exclusivity clause, and that only says they can't play any other festivals, for example Metallica headlined Reading in 2003 and the only way they could play Download was as a secret unannounced act.
Mastodon aint really big enough to be having them type of clauses in a contract

Think they headlining a stage but ya know what ya mean usually they be billed as exclusive show or such if lower on bill or smaller fest e.g. Opeth or Trivium at Bloodstock.

I missed out on them this time. Saw them in the Academy last time. Was the gig any good?

  • Registered Users Posts: 866 ✭✭✭LuckyFinigan

They were great in Cork, I was too bad the security were a bit ott, Troy even commented on it trying to get them to step down but they weren't having any of it.

Gig was excellent. Hinds's guitar playing was the highlight for me, The Czar was amazing live. Also the Thin Lizzy cover, Emerald was great.
