Having problem with PS3, games kept freezing, and on start up it said that the system was corrupt and had to re boot. That was fine until it was re booting and would not go past 8%. I went to safe mode and totally reset the device. Got to game loading and it said that software was not up to date, that was fine it went to a link to update and updated but then it said an error accoured. This keeps happening, when I go into safe mode now and choose any option besides total reset it freezes and reboot will not go past 25% after 4 hrs!!

Any help would be appreciated.

What PS3 model? it can be HDD.
