I was an avid follower of many televisual programs but recently I can't watch anyone of them due to being blinded by over ****.

If I see another All Ireland where Kilkenny win again, there'll be a sternly worded email to the scriptwriters.

Tonight with Vincent Browne - it's just so visually appalling.

Green screen technology with all the finesse of a 1980's Beirut hostage vid.

    Home and Away.

Way too much fake glam in it these days. God be with the days of Pippa and Mike giving Sally a good talking to.

    And Hayley, **** gold.

I see what you mean, although I can't see Rolf in the same way as Saville somehow....

Still we still have Tony Hart to look back on with some sort of affection though.

    Vision On.

    The Chase & Eggheads

Both very good at the beginning but over played, these type of shows should only run for one year and then be put into the archives

I used to love this, but it got very old after series 2 or so...

Having said that, it was unmissable TV for me at the start.

TBF, The Simpsons will go down as one of the best, most iconic shows ever. It had about 8 good series and then it went to pure muck.

At least it hit those heights, I don't think the other shows you mentioned did.

Problem with Eggheads is they have CJ, Chris and Judith who are average at best. Barry isn't even that great. Pat and (especially) Kevin are absolute beasts though.

I cannot watch any interviews with singers , actors , sports people,
    soccer players,
especially ones who are incredibly rich ,multimillionaires .
IF you are interested in current affairs the coverage on the web is much
more interesting than a 5 minute report on rte news .
Most interviews on tv are very predictable.
you may be a good singer, actor, etc
but you are not good at talking ,
and you are just on tv to promote your latest book, film,cd etc
i just hear the same cliches over and over .
The average soccer player can hardly talk about any subject.
I Can,t watch the news on tv,
its mostly bad news, pr bs, sports news .or boring political news ,
i get my news from radio ,or the web.
    gaurdian,uk, independent.ie etc

Sons Of Anarachy - What an absolute load of ****e. The series did have potential for some major bad-ass carry on, but it was squandered on bull**** story lines.

Pointless is where it's at now!

Was flicking channels a few weeks ago and came across Bullseye on Challenge, Can't believe it used to pass for entertainment.

Anything on The Discovery Channel. I feel as if everything is a fake and find it often too hard to concentrate on immediate "dangers" contained within a 44 minute episode show.

Any Irish political rubbish is appalling viewing. This, The Frontline, The Week in Politics, and other such programmes past and present are the dregs.

Never got around to seeing this. With JR (Larry Hagman) dead, there can't be a Dallas anyway. Without JR, it is not the same.

Watching Jim and Rolf on TV and then playing Gary Glitter on CD. Legends of TV, art and music porn:rolleyes::D

The Tubridy Show in other words aka The Late Late Show !! I too feel such shows are boring and cliched. But I blame the host more than the guests because the host asks the same old questions to everyone.

As said, the news and all Irish political debate chatshows are awful. I don't care if Pat Kenny, Sean O'Rourke or Vincent Browne does them, they are all equally bad.

I would also have to add Glor Tire to my list of shows I can't watch anymore. I used to watch this for a laugh but it is so full of music that is so awful it is not even funny.

The whole music scene that is promoted by the media in Ireland is horrid to be honest and so bland and repetitive. While there is a place for everything and a little of any of these would be grand, the fact that the whole Irish music industry as depicted on TV is divided into a finite amount of camps limits our scene. It comes in 3 main categories:

    1. Boybands. Louis Walsh's projects mostly.
    2. These new age singer songwriters: John Spillane, Declan O'Rourke, Paddy Casey, Damian Dempsey that kind of thing.
    3. By far the worst of the 3: new age Irish country music as celebrated on Glor Tire. It was at first a laugh watching guys from the Midlands and Galway singing in a fake OTT 'American' accent (perhaps, revenge for the US take on the 'Stage Irish accent'!!) but it is gone beyond a joke now. At least, Big Tom, Larry Cunningham and Daniel O'Donnell never tried to be anything other than Monaghan, Longford and Donegal and sang in their own, natural style and much better.

Other shows I can no longer watch: Top Gear (Jeremy C may be a lot of things but a comedian is not one of them!!), The Voice of Ireland (more reality competition drivel) and any comedy on RTE 2.
