    Hey Forum,

Just to let you know the results are out right now, ahead of the official release day on Sunday.
Probably will want to save a soft copy to your desktop just in case ACCA stop early access to MYACCA.

Anyway, I passed P6 and I am now an affiliate ...... Happy days

I remember the dread, and in those days 5am on the day of was the earliest you'd get them - many sleepless nights, ugh!

Wish I was able to get results last night, this morning was too late. I've got 3 exams left. Hope after tonight it will only be one.

Waiting on P2 and P7 results. Finished both papers on time, and normally that's a good sign for me. Just nervous to be stuck on the 40-49 mark range.

Nervous wait. Hope the results will be sent promptly around midnight but you could be waiting for hours. It's been a long wait.

How did you see your results tigerkings?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 709 ✭✭✭frogstar

It was a glitch by acca (again) last night where "myacca" had results available for a couple of hours

We will just have to wait until midnight to find out ours

Best of luck everyone. I think I prefer not knowing

Fair play to ya! Delighted! What was p4 like? Im seriously considering doing a different one to p6 in june.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 709 ✭✭✭frogstar

I enjoyed the subject p4 but the paper was horrendous.

It's hard to know. You've come so far with or already and could be a risk switching at this stage. Let it sink in for a while first

Congrats to all who passed and hard luck to those who didn't.
Passed P2 with 56%. Was expecting a long few months until June and another attempt but thankfully straight back at it now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭Kaka86

Passed P2 first time around ...THANK GOD!!! On to P5 now me thinks :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 5 to go

Passed P2 with 62, failed P7 with 44%. First time. Just delighted to get P2 out of the way, it was so much work. Dissapointed about audit, just need to work on exam technique a bit.

Two to go! Congrats to anyone who passed. If not, failure is temporary. But you have a pass for forever!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 197 ✭✭MayoRoadRunner

Passed F5 with 82% and F8 with 74%. Delighted. Exempt from F1 to F4 so plan is to get F6, F7 and F9 done in June then onto the P papers.
Studied as an e-learning distance student through GCD and found them good. Likely will stick with them for F6, F7 and F9 although if Julie Hawkins did a distance course I would go with that option. Back to the books next week!

Passed F7 second time round and F8 first. Delighted! Now on to F9 & P1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,287 ✭✭✭SBWife

Jem123 if you struggled with F7 you should try and do P2 right away it builds directly on the F7 material and is easier to get if you don't have to relearn the F7 stuff before you start.

Not from Cork but for p7 would you consider home study?

It's very doable at home. I did it and used only past exam papers, the mini spiral notes from bpp, and the acca online videos

Not fir everyone but as it's theory I believe it's one of the main ones you could do yourself as long as you are motivated. I just passed Dec 14 with 64%

Thanks SBWife. I considered it but need to do F9 in June and couldn't cope with the 2 computational exams at once! I will probably take P2 on its own in December

Apparently There is a delay this year as a large number of student got incorrect results. Its not official yet but I have it from a good source that student are to be notified this week that there was an issue and their score is incorrect.

    Only joking

    you had me going :P

anyone know when the pass rates are going to be published?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 272 ✭✭0028673

    http://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/student/acca-qual-student-journey/qual-resource/acca-qualification/pass-rates.html

    pass rates are up..

A very big jump in F4 since the introduction of CBE..

pass rates in the optional papers are still pretty brutal..

 Don't ever do this again! So mean. :p

My heart  haha the panic for a split second there!!

Yeah the P level pass rates are brutal, P5 especially. I wonder what % of people sitting them got exemptions in F1-F9 and are doing ACCA exams for the first time. Now with the changes to the structure of sitting the P level exams (you can do them in any order now) will that improve the pass rates I wonder.

EDIT : Having said that with the pass rates being poor, it makes it more of an achievement when you do pass! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 583 ✭✭✭mooreman09

I got exemptions from 1-9. I passed P1 & P3 first time, but it definitely affected my performance having never sat an ACCA exam before and added to the nerves. Its definitely a positive to have the exemptions but its also a challenge.

+1 Did P6 without doing f6 and failed as a consequence, F9 only F paper I sat so doing P4 now instead.
