Driving a yellow Smart car or a Fiat 500 would knock a couple inches off your penis.

Makes a change from hearing the expression being used to telling men to 'Man up' and stop beating women and abusing children I suppose.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,745 ✭✭✭Macavity.

If I was having a bad day the conversation would probably go like this.

    Him: Haha, that's a woman's car.
    Me: You work in McDonalds.

That's your man from the show that was on a few years back called "I dare ya".

He hasn't got any funnier I see.

Sounds like it's that guy from the annoying AIG ads. He's even worse on this one.

At least give someone their meal for free after insulting their choice of motoring instead of a free burger.

It doesn't get more manly than clogging your arteries with junk food.

They should now run an ad campaign for women who drive suvs and mondeos, WOMAN UP, every salad comes with a free my little pony and a tube of vagiclean

    Except that he doesn't :p

I actually found that hilarious, not because of the man up part, just because I'm car-ist!

Nothing wrong with a Ford Focus but.

Brand name suckers is what he really should have been taking the piss out of.

Unbelieveable that it went all the way from an initial idea to a finished product without anybody realising how stupid it was.

Yes, thank you macdonalds for affirming my masculinity by giving me a manly burger and approving my car choices.

Lol this, I'm actually impressed with how unaware the employees in charge of it must be. I'm picturing a squad of Dougal McGuires and Brick Tamlands sitting around a conference table scribbling their ideas down in crayons.

Your man is really witty. Whatever he said about Focusing on a new car was fantastic.

It's like one of the really bad ideas on the Irish Apprentice on Tv3. Nobody stopped and asked the question WTF are we doing. They should focus on making their ice cream not melting in 10 seconds in their mc flurries.

Someone should tell their burgers to man up.

    Big Mac?
That's a woman's burger isn't it. You'd want to go to the chippers to get a real burger.

That's the drive-through in Tallaght. The staff have it bad enough, go there any Saturday night, great craic.

Hope the marketing person loses their job and that guy in the ad never gets another "comedy" gig ever again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 879 ✭✭✭woodturner

Seriously, there's enough negativity in the world. All they were doing was having a bit of a laugh and giving away food. It's random acts like this that brightens up peoples day. If it had happened to me I'd be laughing about it and telling everyone about it all day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,439 ✭✭✭✭One eyed Jack

Give me a minute now and I'll see can I work up enough manly outrage to give a shìt about this. I shall assume my true form, then you'll all piss yourselves laughing be sorray

I actually think its not a bad advertisement, its gets across that McDonalds is open 24 hours, have free wifi, that they do offers on their products and shows a couple of people enjoying there burgers.
But more importantly these days is the ad has got you thinking and talking about McDonalds and I would bet one day soon one of you guys that don't like the ad are going to go into McDonalds and ask for one of those "Man up Burgers".

The Feminist-Left via "Safe Ireland" used the term "Man Up" in relation to domestic violence, so I'm not sure why the OP would have a problem with it here.

The staff should have totally abused that.
"So that comes to one blow job."

    "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there's your change."

Wow. I've seen some awful attempts at creating a viral video before but this is without doubt the worst - and I lasted about a minute. Whoever came up with this idea in Cawley Nea (McDonalds Ad Agency) should be shot along with the person on the client side who approved this. I assume both are female as no man in touch with modern men's thinking would approve this, let alone allow it to be made.

In fairness, the lads are driving awful cars.

"Ooooo but it gets me from A to B and it's all I can afford".

    No excuse.

To be fair it is 100% quality assured beef from Bord Bia approved farms. Doesn't get more real than that.

Compared to most burgers you get at local chippers its a healthy salad.

I love Big Macs but I do at times crave greasy burgers from the chippers.

Some of us like our Fiat 500's but if it means I have to deal with only having 7.5" I'll live with it I guess.

I was chatting to a friend of mine that owns a BMW, you know the ones that have been made look like something it isn't. He was telling that his girlfriend had got a bit randy and asked him "to give her 8" and make her bleed" so he shagged her twice and smacked her in the face.

I was more talking about the size. 10 minutes after I eat one I need another one.
I wouldn't be expecting a balanced diet out of any type of fast food place.

I agree they're too small and unfilling. Same with the Taste of America burgers.

I'd imagine you only got the burger after signing the release to be featured in the ad.
Who'd pay for actors when people are stupid enough to sell their image for a burger?

Disclaimer: I'd murder everyone I know and love for a life-time supply of McDonalds Double Cheeseburgers but only on the grounds that I could get them at five o'clock in the morning when they're selling their manky breakfasts.

Not everyone gives a **** about their car, They just see it as another appliance.

Saying that, There's nothing wrong with a 206, Focus, Micra, Yaris etc..

    What do you drive?
