TV Remote control problem.

    Hi
    I have a TV - Brand - DMTech - Model No LT26XH.
    The remote control is not working.
    I've tried new batteries, and checked the infra-red light via the camera on my mobile phone and this confirmed it is not working.
    I've also held each button down for 3 seconds as recommended by one guy on youtube.

    I've now bought a Silvercrest - Universal Remote control from Lidl ( €6.99 ) and the DMTech TV brand is listed in the RC manual with 3 different codes.
    I programmed in the TV via all 3 of the codes, but - it still does not work.

    Anybody got any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong or other alternatives ?
