Last week while attending mass, I felt very much uneasy. I could feel my heartbeat rising at the same time it became difficult for me to breath. I sat there for a long time and then I regained myself. It just happened to me once. I thought I shouldn’t take a risk and I consulted a general practitioner. She checked my pulse and asked me to lay down. She did some physical test and asked me to consult a cardiologist. She wasn’t ready to reveal anything and I was immediately directed to the hospital by a nurse. Cardiologist asked me take the E.C.G test. I do not know, they were doing so many tests over me. Finally, the report was just normal. But my hospital bill amounted to a huge sum. I was totally taken back. I argued with them on the bills, and questioned on the basis why they did so many tests, but they were giving lame excuses. I’ll also not be able to get my insurance. When I consulted a family doctor of mine, he said such a situation might occur if the place is congested. It might also happen due to stress. And that was very simple for a general practitioner to understand. I’m planning to file a case against them. Thought of consulting a medical malpractice law firm( Sommers & Roth at Ontario) . It is a big hospital. So I’m not sure how far I can go with it. Or should I just ignore it?

Firstly glad to hear all is ok with you.

If they had found something wrong with you after all these tests would you still consider suing? They seemed very thorough in their examination of you and it must be a huge relief after all those tests that your results were normal.
