City Centre Photowalk - 18th February

Time for another evening photowalk I think, poll attached for dates.

I can't make it on Tues/Thurs so not including those days

Route to be decided here, possibly Stephen's Green following down Clarendon Street/Dame Lane, Dame Street, Trinity at night, Government buildings if they are lit up/Merrion Square and finish somewhere on Baggott street? Open to any suggestions though.

I'm happy to go to the Docklands again, if there's more interest in there.

Thoughts?!

Going by the poll, the dates 18th and 25th suit most so I'm going with the 18th for now, though we can go on the 25th also if people are still interested, will see closer to that date.

Meeting point: Jury's Hotel on the Quays
Walk: Docklands area/Quays
Time: 6.30pm (earlier if you are able, sunset should be approx 5.40pm - just go shoot and we'll spot you on our way.)

Aim to walk/wander and depending on interest go for a coffee/something stronger in the Ferryman afterwards (open to suggestions).

I'd first make sure everyone else is on f/16 shutter priority and flash charged to catch me being heroic. No point in being altruistic if I'm getting nothing out of it.

I've just had a meeting scheduled with US folk that I can't get out of.

The earliest I'd be in is 7.30pm but I'll pop in anyway and try to catch a couple of photos before ye head to the pub.

Can anyone volunteer to be the meet up contact person?! Just in case anyone is late/looking for the group.

Meetup point is Jury's at 6.30pm, then walk along the quays north/southside as suits you. 8pm-8.30pm meet in the Ferryman for a coffee/beverage afterwards.

Other than the train station/car park arrangement, is how it worked for Howth? I don't mind giving my number to a few people (who?), though I can't really be on boards outside of lunch, until after 5.

I've my camera gear with me. My bus usually gets into the city around 5:45-6. Might grab some quick food before heading to the meet up point.

It's more or less like the Howth walk. Arrange a meeting spot and time. Wait 10 or 15 minutes beyond the arranged meeting time because no-one ever shows up on time.
It's best if you kinda layout a route on here so that latecomers can walk the route and catch up with others.
Talk to anyone with a camera. They might not be Boardsies but what the hell, you'll make new friends.

My 4:30 meeting just moved to 6 :eek: looks like I'm out (& I was really looking forward to this!) if I get out at a reasonable time I'll follow the route.

The rain does look like it's breaking up as it crosses the country, I think it'll be a nice light bouncing sunset for it anyway keep an eye on the radar

im extreamly sorry guys that i couldn't let ye know i couldn't make it last night. i got asked to work late last night at the last min and i couldn't fig out on my ph how to let ye know. ended up being very bloody sick also that nearly couldn't drive home from work as had a bad reaction to pain killers i took yesterday me thinks. still not feeling the way mest today. really really hope to get to the next one.
