    It can happen.

I used to work for a fella whose office burned down three times. It was a terrible strain on him, especially as every time he was already under pressure with a revenue audit.

Maybe the irish tax payer can also have to pay for this as well. Get your office refurbished. No expense spared.
We've lots of money to uphold Michelle's high living.

Someone really should phone her friends up to say she's al-right be cautious the call will be long distance, might cost a few quid and all. ;)

Daily Mirror headline manages to squeeze in her full and correct title:
Fire at Kenya phone call TD Michelle Mulherin's office in Ballina, Co Mayo, after suspected arson attack

In the same week she was snared for making long distance phone fornicating calls.

    Kenya believe it?

Why am I reminded of the time Dana got a blow out and she then spent the rest of the election insisting to anyone who'd listen it was an assassination attempt?

She carried around the busted tire in her car to take it out and look sad in front a camera at every opportunity.

Apparently, she didn't understand the concept of a puncture.

And drove the sh1t out of the flat tyre to if I remember. It was in shreds and this was used to attempt to create even more dramatic photos.

Woman's insane even by the standards of Irish politics.

Meanwhile on After Hours most posters spend their time criticizing idealist Greek politicians for wanting to do what they think is best for the welfare of their people rather than focus on the embarrassing career politicians in this country.

What is it with people using the word rape to describe the financial difficulties Ireland went through? It's offensive and disgusting. So much online anger is misplaced and scattergun. No sense of perspective or reason.

Look, if the honourable (non-fornicating) member torched her own office, it will be the first successful thing she has achieved in her political career.
Other Gaelic politicians have achieved freedom (Mel Gibson)
    Grand Larceny (Haughey, Ahern)
Loose Women at Crossroads (De Valera)

....but our heart must go out to a credible arson attempt.

Meanwhile on After Hours most posters spend their time criticizing idealist Greek politicians
"Idealist" Greeek politicians who appear to have an unhealthy mutual-respect thing going for Putin in Moscow:

    http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/greek-election-wins-putin-a-friend-in-europe/514923.html
Greece's new prime minister, Syriza leader Alexis Tsipras, established contact with Russia prior to being elected. Like other leaders of formerly fringe European political parties, Tsipras was received as a highly honored guest by the Kremlin. The leftist leader met with Russian officials in Moscow last May, including Valentina Matviyenko, chair of the Russian parliament's upper house who had served as Russia's ambassador to Greece in the late 1990s.

According to Greek media, Tsipras used the occasion to chastise the EU's policy on Ukraine, denounce European sanctions against Moscow and support separatist referendums in eastern Ukraine that the West said were illegitimate.

The terms used in Russia's anti-Europe rhetoric also seem to have infiltrated Tsipras' vocabulary. "It is a regression for us to see fascism and neo-Nazis entering European governments again and for this to be accepted by the EU," Tsipras was quoted as saying in May by the state-run Athens News Agency, a few days after Putin claimed that militant nationalism of the kind "that once led to the appearance of the Nazi ideology" had raised its head in Europe.

Syriza's natural leaning toward Russia stems from its origins as an amalgamation of communist, socialist and other leftist forces, according to Papadimitriou. The party with which it has formed a coalition, the right-wing Independent Greeks, also supports Russia because of its own platform that calls for conservative social policies in line with Orthodox Christian teachings. [...]

Russia has courted Europe's far-left and far-right political parties, which it views as platforms to influence European policy-making, according to political pundits.[...]
