Hi, my current set up for my home theatre is my laptop connected by HDMI to the TV for video and an RCA cable connecting my laptop to an old Stereo CD players aux-input for audio. It works for me but i feel it lacks a bit on the bass end

What im wondering is if it possible to connect a subwoofer to this setup also?
The back of the stereo looks like this

There is obviously no subwoofer-out socket. Is there a way to connect a subwoofer to this system? If i just connect a subwoofer to the speaker outs on the stereo will it drain power from the speakers?

If so what sort of subwoofer would i need? Powered or unpowered, what kind of connections on the back of the subwoofer? Any particular subwoofers anywone would recommend for this situation?

forget it, not worth adding a sub to that setup. save up and buy a proper setup that can support a sub properly

You can buy any old cheap 5.1 setup from donedeal or adverts to save you wasting time trying to make that work!
