Just a quick question for the op, does it ever get tiring riding around on that high horse all day looking for stuff to take offence to?

For god sake it was a joke, some people just take themselves, football and life far too seriously

I don't look for stuff to take offence to, I don't have a high horse, he's been clean for the last 6 months

The way Rosicky is spelt in the title sums up the 'fun' in this thread and the OP.

    Lols.

As if to give the thread more gravitas.

Phil Neville could come out with all the "two footed holocaust rapist" comments he wanted and nobody would really bat an eyelid. Simply because Phil Neville, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't matter.

    Why fabulous?

What a ridiculous thread. When someone is asked "how do you stop a player like Messi?" and they respond with what now seems a standard answer of "shoot him", I don't take them literally.

    Fabulous

I am referring to the second definition listed here
Informal. exceptionally good or unusual; marvelous; superb:

a fabulous bargain; a fabulous new house.

    Only I was being facetious.

Perhaps you could write in a complaint about me for using words in context.

I only asked why, I'd prefer if I came across well and forthright

You probably won't, people who complain about such trivial matters never come across well, to be fair.

    Hi op.

I was wondering if you can help me out here. I left my house this morning with my hair done perfectly. Not a single strand out of place. I was ready to walk into the office and slap a few behinds and complement their moxy.

Alas the wind destroyed my hair.

    Please advise.

Use ellnet sure hold spray going forward.

I would avoid contact with the buttock area as this may lead to an email from HR. Try the shoulder

    :)

So we can say innapropriate things and defend then by saying I was being facetious?

Is that like jinx in chase when you were a child?

    How was it inappropriate?

You'll need to explain that to me as if I'm 6.

I feel that fabulous was an inappropriate word to use in this context as it's not something one would Strive to come across as on a news programme. Strictly Come Dancing would be a situation where it would be better used.

Never watched an episode of the show, don't like the prancing.

Also, I don't think Points of View is a "news" program, more of a gossipy, people-with-nothing-better-to-do-than-get-offended-at-small-things kind of show. In that context, I think "fabulous" perfectly fits.

    YMMV.

Hoe does fabulous work in this context? Explain like I'm a 6 year old?
