Forcing Downloaded windows updates to install on Windows 7

    Hi
Anyone know if there is a way/shortcut to force downloaded windows updates on windows 7 to install

The shut down button has the indicator on it indicating that there are updates to be installed but no matter how many times I either shut down the computer or restart it the windows updates wont install.

Eventually maybe after several hours it will decide itself to install them when I do a shut down or restart

Are there any shortcuts keys or tips and tricks to force these downloaded updates that are ready to install to actually install

    Thanks

you could try this - it should go off and get the updates and get on with it

the built-in one seems to go off for pints or something and forget what it was supposed to be doing
