    Neither, run a cable or use homeplugs and add an access point on another channel

    The router is in my neighbours house, we share an agreement.

    Repeaters do not work well because they use the same frequency to receive as they do to re-broadcast (you end up halving the speed). You are best to create a point to point link with 2 of these (you'll need line of sight between them) and add an access point in your own house giving you full coverage.
