Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Keeping Ireland closed to walkers

Interesting letter in today's Irish Times regarding Ireland's lack of access to the countryside. Even with high profile schemes such as long distance paths, it is a sobering thought that we have less walking routes than one English county.

Wasn't the Leader II scheme supposed to address this? Instead it got scuppered. This would have delivered far more tourism than any existing scheme, and over a far broader stretch of the Republic than any A to B fixed route.
