Same Laser 90 problem

    Well, I posted a thread awhile back about our tractor and topper! To make a long story short it seemed the clutch was slipping! I did not get anything checked as it was running fine after that!

    I have noticed since Wednesday it's hard to find gears in her, and it's loosing lots of power going up hills! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Bring it back to the lad you bought it off. Going by you previous posts, you're gonna have to split her and get a new clutch assembly fitted. Do whatever is needed while you are in there. One ripping is enough.

    First thing to do is just check if clutch is in adjustment? I don't know what type of clutch set up is on these tractors but if it's a linkage type arrangement then it may just be that it needs to be adjusted to compensate for wear. If hydraulic then this won't apply. Just something that's worth checking and ruling out before you go ripping.

    If adjustment is OK or if it doesn't apply, get that clutch changed ASAP!

    Don't be driving it around with the clutch slipping like mad. If you do you'll bollocks up the flywheel too. To much slipping causes overheating and surface cracking of the flywheel. If you do the dog on it and go down to the revits you'll have big gouges in the flywheel too. If either of these happens you'll have to take the flywheel off and get it skimmed on a lathe somewhere.
