Liverpool travel to the Stadium of Light knowing that anything other than a win will send the Liverpool super thread into further turmoil and probably resulting in a meltdown, which adds to the growing number of closed accounts.

Liverpool have only lost once in their last 8 PL games and are unbeaten in the last 5 meetings against Sunderland.

    Possible starting teams:
    Sunderland:
Pantilimon, Vergini, O'Shea, Brown, Van Aanholt, Bridcutt, Larsson, Gomez, Johnson, Wickham, Fletcher

    Liverpool:
Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Lucas, Gerrard, Moreno, Coutinho, Borini, Markovic

I know, Cattermole will be a big loss.

    Wickham will bully us.

Obviously Sterling would be a favourite to start but he's played a lot of games of late. Its a toss of coin whether or not to start Manquillo over Lazor, I'd probably go with Manq myself.

Sterling not available due to time for a break off apparently.

Even though Liverpool are coming into this on the back of some great results in the non loss against mighty Leicester and the historic win against one of the Wimbledons fans should still be expecting a draw here.

Although part of me would be interested in seeing the fallout from a loss amongst the Stevie fan club, how many more notches can the outrage go up?

The best thing about getting dumped out of the. Champions League is no more Saturday matches once the Uefa starts back up and thus no more Micheal Own and BT sports live matches that I can't watch on sky player even though we have bt sports and being forced to resort to a crappy stream while I'm suppose to be working.

Can't see anything but a cakewalk for Liverpool today. Their recent form since 'turning the corner' indicates as such.
Confidence must be running high in the squad, if the manager can leave out the player that was an important part of the 'turning the corner' and further mess with the shallow confidence of his shakey goalie.

Has there ever been a more nailed on draw in the history of football?

Ireland - Netherlands 1990 was fairly nailed on! :pac:

Really hard to know who to be up for here. I think I'm meant to rally against the evilness of FSG and Brendan Rodgers. If we win, I'm determined not to enjoy it.

Sunderland by the odd goal in 3.

Nice to see we are on as early as possible so Liverpool can ruin as much of my weekend as possible when we lose

I used to love the early games and now I plan a load of stuff after the match so I can keep myself busy if the result doesn't go our way :)

Oh god, please not that useless lump Fabio Borini. What the fcuk is Rodgers playing at?

I'm Boycotting all streams and shall listen to this game - its going to be very dull (I'll use the saved megabytes on vintage German donkey porn)

Similar to my post about Sterling in the LFC thread.

    Borini starts:

"What the **** is Rodgers doing"

    Borinis dropped:

"What the **** is Rodgers doing"

I agree though, I think Borini is nowhere near good enough, but he is a better option than Balotelli and a far better option than Lambert.

Rossiter on the bench is the only positive thing about the lineup and subs today really.

    Sigh, this will be painful.

Anyone know if this match is on the radio?

Adam Johnson 5/1 anytime scorer. A man in form

Borini 5/2 anytime as he might have a point to prove

    Id imagine it is.

TuneIn Radio Pro is a great app. Endless radio channels worldwide. It'll be on something there for sure.

It was free a few weeks ago too, may still be.

Steven Gerrard is100/30 anytime scorer, 25/1 to score twice like he did in his last two games.

He's had a point to prove at Anfield since he stayed last summer. Look how that's worked out.

    Depends where he plays.

If we plays in an attacking position he's a decent punt. Otherwise, it'd probably be hoping for a pen or a free kick

The lineup suggests he will play in front of Lucas and Henderson.

5/2 for Borini anytime is ridiculous given his record.

He's played in 12 games. I'd be surprised if he started for than 3 or 4 of those.
Lad hasn't been given a chance to prove a point.

Commentaries are usually blocked when listening via TuneIn, so a little black magic may be required...

I fully support Brendan Rodgers. I'm not one of those asking for him to be sacked. But let's face it, in some way in his mind he thinks he's being clever playing Borini against his club of last season.

    Clear penalty.

Wes Brown continues his "playing 2 minutes behind everyone else" act.
