I seen Al Porter in the Laughter Lounge a year or so back. He was very funny. I'm not exactly giving away a secret here when I say he's gay. He's from Tallaght and so he was focusing on being so camp and growing up in Tallaght.

    Adrian Crowley is pure quality.

I like Al Porter. I'm surprised he hasn't been on an Irish talk show before.

Nice to see Derek Davis on, he doesn't get much airtime these days. I remember his old Saturday Night Show 'Davis at Large' many years ago.

That must be the worst line-up in years. I'm afraid this show really is on it's last legs.

All that matters is Cardiff City are back in a blue strip.

The balance of the universe has been restored :)

    That's good to hear.

I remember Martin Tyler saying "Welcome to Cardiff, where the Bluebirds are in Red and the Red Devils are in Blue". Madness.

    SLINGWATCH UPDATE

Brendan's arm is still in a sling

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,734 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Don't know if I'm able for it tonight. Watched the last ten mins on Nicky Byrne's new show. Bit worn out from all the tension.

    "Pick a number"
    "Has to be 3"
"Why does it have to be 3?"
    "Someone's birthday."

    "Okay. It's gonna be 3."

    Phew, I'm knackered!

He should have more TV programmes/radio shows. He's a lot better than some of the people RTE have now.

    Is he packing heat?

I really like Derek Davis, but he has a self pitying streak in him that I dont find endearing... How many times has her recited that "too big for light entertainment" line... He's lucky he's a tall guy, and he could carry it, so he never looked morbidly obese.... And there was nobody at any stage stopping him from losing the weight..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

I didn't look. I did the usual thing of staring directly at the wall :o

I presume he had a gastric band fitted.

I am afraid I have yet to meet anyone who is fat by any other reason than they eat too much and do too little.

I have- people who have been on certain types of medication. And I definitely know people who eat absolute $hit and exercise very little and hardly put on a pound. It is much harder for some people.

But overall, absolutely weight loss is just the basics of eating less and moving more- forget all the fads and go with that.
