Did you accidentally the entire tin of chocolate kimberleys?

Did you not bother your backside getting dressed on your days off?

How much weight did you put on over Christmas?

I put on 2lb and for the first time in ever I'm happy to have put on 2lb because it could have been a lot worse :D With good atein and being active, I'll probably have that gone in a couple of days so it was definitely worth it!!

6 or 7 lbs while staying with inlaws and drinking every night. Lots of Chinese food, Thai food, and of course osechi ryori.

Yesterday, I made a big pot of stew - I mean big, and mostly vegetables. I'll be eating only this and small amounts of either bread or rice until it is gone.

I lost about 2lb yesterday alone.

Accidentally my fat ass! I gorged and overendulged and now I'm facing a lean January. So worth it at the time though.:)

Half a kilo. I've just made an effort in eating everything slowly, getting more satisfaction out of a little less. :)

I'm the same as before for the first time ever! Although I did eat all the things, I'm more active in general these days.

And no, I did not get dressed when i was off :pac:

I managed to put on about 10lb in the last few months.....but have a dastardly plan for January that involves healthy eating, no boozing and plenty of exercise (ie walks! in the park!).

So hopefully will be back to my fighting weight by the end of the month. I am lucky that normally I can shift the pounds easily if I put my mind to it.

I'm up half a stone. Not good.

It suits me but I want to lose it.

Weigh the same as I weighed in November. Of every year. Xmas isn't for eating. It's for not being at work.

I was actually told to put weight on over Christmas (By doctors not just a random person!). I've been living the dream! Well, I had to force myself a little bit as my appetite is not what it used to be. Still, I enjoyed it :)

    +8 lbs :(

Edit: I had slimsters with cottage cheese for breakfast. Is there anything more depressing. I think I have sugar withdrawal.

Managed to put on 3kg between Dec 1st and Dec 20th  and have actually lost 750g/1kg back over the Christmas - so still up for the season as a whole but not as bad as it was looking like it was going to be when Christmas proper started.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,929 ✭✭✭✭ShadowHearth

I think I might have put on some weight, but it would not be much. Issues was not food, but the amount of drink I had over all these days. It's was just work, drink, sleep marathon for last 2-3 weeks.
Good news is I am starting my cardio sessions in 15min and I am going back to normal life style.
I will be going to buy some food now too as my fridge is empty all December.

Oh try cottage cheese with flaked almonds, fresh berries, and cinnamon. It's yummy!

I didn't do too badly. I lost a good bit of weight last year and another bit between the start of December and Christmas so I didn't want to undo all my good work :D

Father being hospitalized and with my uncle's passing, with Christmas and Wedding one after the other with regards to food...

    A fair bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,903 ✭✭✭frozenfrozen

I put on almost a stone :D I look a bit healthier, but it's still going to have to go away until next year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,008 ✭✭✭not yet

Put on 3kgs from Dec 1st till NYE, can't really complain as I drank every night from 10th Dec till NYE...

Anyways, I'm now watching what I put in my gob and getting back on my bike from yesterday..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭fleet_admiral

Most of what we bought junk wise is still there. I was looking forward to the chocolate mikados but I only ate one of them. There is 4 tubes of Pringles, various selection boxes and biscuits just lying there too. I made a new york cheesecake for dessert on xmas day but still went out and bought desserts like a fool.
Said desserts will sit in the freezer now til easter

And I'm still eating crap.. :o

But plan to get back into a healthy eating/exercise cycle tomorrow (was gonna start today but there are just a few too many sweeties still hanging around... I'm so weak... :o )

Lost 10lbs was sick for 3 days and had no appetite (inc christmas day :( ) Been eating and drinking everything for last week and only put on half a pound.

Mrs heroics had same dose didn't eat much either she lost 0 but gained 0 over christmas. Day I revealed my weight loss resulted in 2 days of bitching/sulking about how unfair life was because I didn't want to lose the weight

Guess I need to start eating more. was happy with the weight pre christmas

I don't know but I've been ill over Christmas and on stereoids which I've only just now finished. The result is that they've left me very puffy and bloated.

I didn't go too mad food-wise over the festive period but there were the usual things; Pringles, nuts, crisps and wine almost every evening.

Now I'm feeling so bloated, I'm drinking bottles of water filled with fresh lemon and lime slices and eating fruit and trying to eat a lot more veg.

I lost about a stone between last Oct and Christmas. Now I've 8 pounds of that back on so back to normality today in terms of eating.
I'm surprised it wasn't worse to be honest

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,468 ✭✭✭✭OldNotWIse

I tried to be healthy and buy a clementine in Tesco but there was no option on the self scanner execpt for a bunch of bananas so I left it behind. God's plan I suppose. The selection boxes scan ok.

Haven't weighed myself and I'm probably not going to so I can continue deluding myself that it's not that bad.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,949 ✭✭✭✭IvyTheTerrible

I'm exactly the same now as before Christmas. I was a bit surprised because I did eat a fair bit (including quite a bit of chocolate) but I did run or walk or both every single day so that definitely helped.

Didn't go out for a single run between Dec 22nd and today, and ate more than usual. I'd say I put on roughly half a stone.

I was getting too skinny anyway.

My middle age spread got even spreadier

Managed to put on 3 pounds. I'm not usually a big beer drinker, but sampled a few Irish craft beer over the Christmas. I'm also very partial to a good cheese and meat platter, so had a few of them during the festive period.

Went for a 15k runfollowed by a sauna yesterday. Will weigh myself this evening and report back. I'd be very surprised if I haven't lost it already.

I reckon I drank everyday from 19th dec to a few nights ago, ate waaaaaay to much sh!te. I was abit porky anyway - weight has crept on over last year - but I reckon at least half a stone put on over Christmas.

Dropping bread, booze and cheese and a long bike ride over the past few days had dropped a couple of pounds.

I didn't do too bad at all, however my husband was wondering if his work trousers would still fit him this morning :P. They did by the way.

Not going near that weighing scales. Ignorance is bliss 'n' all da. I'm definitely jiggling more than I did two weeks ago though and not in the places you want to jiggle.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,687 ✭✭✭✭Penny Tration

My weight stayed the same, thank god.

I put on 8lbs, I should lose it all again by the end of the month.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,554 ✭✭✭Pat Mustard

    Luckily, my waistline was unaffected.

The beergut directly over it is an entirely different story. :pac:

7/8 pounds marked for incineration this month.

I think half my problem is the move to kgs...

Putting on 10lb in old money sounded horrific, but 4.5 kgs doesn't look that bad.

I did find getting out on the bike during the summer kept the weight off, so plan is to start putting the kms in from now.

No drink, put on about 5 pounds, managed to go 2 days without putting on real clothes.

    Good overall!

None. Ate loads, but two bad hangovers and not being able to eat anything except veg soup on those two days probably offset all that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,063 ✭✭✭Greenmachine

Not an ounce down 3lb from the beginning of December.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 95 ✭✭VickieVexed

Hopped on the scales this morning...and I've lost 2lbs. My plan worked, I ate and drank everything in sight, but made sure to do lots of exercise to make up for it.
    Delighted with myself.
