Pathetic performance, even worse that this is at home.

    This is just appalling.

6 points from 15 while our rivals have cut the gap and one has overtaken us after today.

Top four is a pipe dream with this defence. The other teams around us are simply better.

Defence? We have created nothing for a few matches now

With a decent fit defence we could finally be clear of 352.

Quite sad watching this today. No fluidity in our game

I hope LVG has learned a valuable fcuking lesson watching this bullsh1t.

    That was just dreadful.

I die a little bit more inside each time Valencia gets the ball wide for us.

The LvG honeymoon period is well and truly over. Shocking management over the last few games.

Absolute shambolic performance. Just all over the place from start to finish.

Really need to get our act together as all our rivals have gained on us now.

Awful will this 3-5-2 just **** off

He was probably our best player today.

We played 4 at the back today tbh, not 5

Truly shocking. Rooney nowhere to be found. Jones is one brainless fool, can we quit kidding ourselves that he will ever develop into something decent...he's nothing between the ears.

    Defence isn't the problem.

We are REALLY not creating anything in the last number of matches. No shots on target today?

Shocking stuff, really really poor performance. Needs to improve drastically to not turn top 4 into a mess

If you could train a dog to stay onside he would have been at least as effective as Rooney was today.

Van Gaal's formations and substitutions have been appalling all season. Can we stop waxing lyrical about him now? His rigid philosophy isn't working at the minute. I'm not entirely sure if we're playing any better under LvG.

Our best player today IMO was Daley blind. Valencia, along with Rooney and Mata was one of our worst.

Valencia was beating people and nothing was really created down his side. Himself and Carrick were our best players

Blind wasn't too bad; Valencia showed some drive.

    Rooney was anonymous.
    Di Maria looked pretty poor.
Baffled to see RVP come off.
Mata showed some energy for the last half hour without it yielding anything.
Herrera & Fellaini never got into it.

Flexcelebrations need to be banned quicker than vuvuzelas. It's January, they should be wearing snoods.

RVP must have picked up a knock lunging in for that yellow card tackle, because he certainly didn't pull anything running the channels or from general play. Louis has to end the love affair with him.

    And scrap the 3-5-2.

And stop shoe-horning everyone into the system.

And realise that Rooney is neither his best midfielder or number 10 and should be solely played up front.

So we ahve the same amount of points after 21 games as we did last season under Moyes after spending over a 100m, just not good enough.

Its the 3-5-2 formation that LVG os persisting with that is doing the damage. Utd cant create anything playing this way.
I dont know why he bought herrara if he cant fit him into the team? Who spends €30mill circa on a sub?
Rooney in midfield doesnt work so either play him as no.10/striker or f**king dont.
Falcao wasnt injured yet he didnt make the bench? Cant understand that.
RVP cant get any good delivery from midfield. Valencia is toxic and should be no where near the first team. At least we have seen an improvement in A.Young...

I blame the management for this result today. And LVG has got away with some results since the start of the season where utd didnt deserve it. Chelsea home/southampton away to name a few....
Shocking. He needs to revert back to 4-3-3 before its another year without top 4.

Can't blame defense in this game. Defense did well enough. Only person to blame is Van Gaal. Pathetic system in which our players are not comfortable attacking or in defense.

Signed Di Maria for his performance in midfield 3 and left wing but he plays him as striker. We miss that drive from Di Maria in midfield.

Signed 27 Million left back but plays him as wing back. His attacking threat is 0, we miss those overlapping runs from full backs.

Falcao not even on bench was just baffling decision.

Poor performance at home, 3-5-2 is just faceplam worthy. Doesn't suit even a single player in our squad maybe except Blind.

Another match another injury(ies) we have fit players for the one position we don't need them for that being keeper, still in 4th place means we will be in Europe next time round either Champions League or Gods forbid Europa.

Time for some new blood though on the player front just who or where to buy is the question.

Worst game of the season so far, and with everyone fit. That formation is just not working

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,521 ✭✭✭Giggsy11

0 shots on target at home is worst than anything we have seen last year. Pathetic.

Wonder what will be the excuse today from the gaffer. No doubt he'll bull**** his way through the interview with his broken riddles.

We are saying that after every game. That shows in which direction we are heading.

We'll have to agree to disagree because that's not at all how I saw it.

That performance was quite simply infuriating. LVG made a complete balls of it from start to finish.
