Have so much respect for Fletch. A player that was much maligned in the early stages of his career, he didn't half burst his balls to become a proper player at United. Had some brilliant games as a holding midfielder including one at home to City, and the run to the Champions League final in 2009. Pity that he lost so much of his career to illness but fair fúcks to him on battling back to play again - a lot of guys would've just let it go. Loved the battle against the big sides and seemed to revel in the big occasions. It's lads like him that are important to the club and should be a sign to the fans not to just write off guys coming through after a few poor performances or after a bad season as is the case increasingly more and more.

A very quite window for us and I know some of you will be disapointed and ticked off but SSN reporter James Cooper has said the summer will be massiver for UTD, it will be all about UTD. Something similar was said last January and we had a massive summer window.

Personally I can see us getting an entirly new defence and hopefully a world class MF and winger too.

I'd rather another epic window of class players than short term grab what you can January signings.

On the summer, I'm very confident Hummels and Strootman will be signed. Along with a winger, maybe Depay. Wouldn't expect many to leave, bar those on loan, Hernandez, Cleverley and Nani (:(). Very excited to see who we'll get.

We should steer well clear. He's out for the rest of the seaon with an injury I think and not worth the hype imo.

I'd love to see Reus in a UTD jersey.

We would be daft to go for Strootman in the summer with his persistent knee injuries. Pogba on the other hand...:D

Actually Hummels, Strootman and Reus are all liabilities when it comes to injuries.

When all the Strootman hype and links to us started popping up I went out of my way to watch him and JUST I dont see it.

He's solid and tidy but another player in the Blind/Carrick mold imo, although a little better than those but not the world class creative force whos good under pressure and some of the games I watched he was really poor and anonymous. Maybe its just me but I don't get the appeal and now with the injuries I hope we have zero interest in him.

We really missed out with Kroos. If LVG see's Strootman as the answer and the only MF signing it will be a huge let down and a mistake.

He is more than a little better, he is everything defensively that Kroos lacks as well. I'm a fan of both players but before his injuries Strootman was superb, it's a pity injuries seem to cast different views on players than before. Before his injuries United would have been lucky to get him.

If I had to pick between Strootman or Kroos on form it has to be Strootman on what I've seen

Evenly matched on the attacking side but Strootman is way ahead on the defensive and general midfield duties

Key word there is on form and not injured though, if he's injured he's worth nothing
