Di Maria back playing is so exciting, I don't know about others, but for me there is this air of expectation when he plays.
More of these type of signings please...world class.

Fletcher is finished, really hope I don't see him starting anymore games. Mc Nair was awful I taught, and Smalling wasn't much better. On the plus side glad to see Di Maria back. Need a massive massive improvement if we are going to beat Southampton at the weekend.

Really worried about how the entire team just couldnt pass the ball good for sustained periods, it was worse then the stoke performance.

Terrible performance in the first half. Rooney was very poor all game. Herrera improved in the 2nd half and scored a cracking goal for himself. Changing away from the 352 along with the introduction of Mata and Di Maria in the 2nd half made us a lot more fluid and threatening.

Blind coming back shortly should hopefully mean no more Rooney being wasted in midfield and no more Darren Fletcher. Fletcher is surely a gonner at the end of the season.

Way too many matches played in such a short time against very difficult opposition can not have helped team morale. It's not like the good old days any more where we had fantastic youth team players to come in and take the place of tired burned out or injured players. Di Maria was well off his best today yet when he came on he revitalized the team, we need at least two defenders, a good keeper for cover and the return of several injured midfielders, today was a very hard fought escape.

I wish Di Maria would take the ball around the keeper in those situations. That chip finish is 7 out of 10 at best.

going around the keeper is 7/10 as well though

Di Maria could probably do it 9/10. I'm not really complaining though, it was a class finish.

It's called pace and ability to beat a man. We have been missing that since he got injured.

Hopefully in the summer we go all out for a pacy winger as well as sorting defensive cover/starters.

If there's not even a backup RB signed in the window it's a joke.

Even he had some ropey moments in the beginning! Get behind LVG it's not exactly a disaster at present

FFS. Need to buy a right back ASAP. We have Blind and Rojo coming back and they can play left back anyway

    fractured cheekbone oh ffs

Never thought I would be saying this after last season but we really missed Ashley Young today

If LVG persists with 5 at the back without a complete clear out in centre-backs he won't be there all that long IMO.

To mark the club’s FA Cup run, 250 special edition commemorative tickets for the third round tie with Manchester United that would have followed a second round replay win at Yeovil are being issued and available to buy for just £20 each

I know they're a small club and every little helps and all but that is just grim.

Because of unforeseen injuries? Bit harsh

    Why?
He has been unlucky with injuries not at lot that can be done about that.

We should have kept Fabio for parts, Rafael has been smashed since he left, were they playing alternative games or something to fool Fergie into believing Raf was an injury free player?

Really need a rb at this point. Whatever happened to that Swiss lad we were linked to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,917 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Although we do need RB cover and more CB, I fully expect whoever is signed to be injured within a matter of weeks and we're back to square one
