I think Januzai has had a decent first half.

Blind has been as has Jones.

Expect a couple of Utd goals in the second half.

Didn't even know carrick was playing till they mentioned his name there at the end of the 1st half.

The league 2 team have been the better side do far and have had the best chance of the game so far.

Utd are just lumping the ball forward hoping for the best. DiMaria looks a shadow of the player he was for madraid. IMO he is a counter attack player that plays well when the other team are chasing a goal.

Getting absolutely nothing from the mid field. Only time fellani has been mentioned is for fouling and getting yellow carded.

Yellow was a joke I thought.

    Blind is very slow

The only reason why watching Januzaj play isn't 100% aggravating is because you can derive the tiniest sliver of enjoyment from shouting "GO YOURSELF" at the TV every time he gets the ball.

Especially there at the end of the half when there was a slight sniff of a chance

He takes another touch and passes it backwards and the ref blows for half time

Wonder could Utd do a swop deal in this transfer window?
    Donaldson for Valencia!

Ya id agree. But that aside he has been anonymous. Rojo is the only one who can be happy with his performance and the two front men can be excused as the service has been pure dirt

I just can't fathom how lvg is trying to get the team to play. If he wants a slow possession based game, then why play 2 up top? Surely herrera instead of wilson would allow them more of the ball in midfield and create space for runners

Would we ever be so lucky that fellani would throw his toys out of the pram and demand a transfer. How he is getting game time ahead of Herrera is baffling to say the least

Van Gaal's stubbornness is damaging the team. His obsession with 3 at the back and playing everyone out of position is ridiculous. This team can play far better than the last few games suggest.

3 at the back ain't the problem tonight, just sh*t players and good players playing sh*t.

We're not playing 3 at the back tonight though.

Yes but I mean generally. 3 at the back hasn't been good for the team.

Edit: to clarify, not basing this all on tonight. I think 3 at the back and things like di Maria as a striker etc are indicative of his stubbornness and unwillingness to back down.

Basically only have 2 at the back tonight

The negativity and hyperbole will be intolerable for the next week.

Jones and Valencia need to be sacked

No different to any bad result or performance really.

Carrick/Fel do not work as a midfield duo. They just don't click at all, and we always look useless when they play together. Januzaj was slow to an incredible degree, constantly slowing down play. Valencia was his usual "Run forward, kick backwards" self. Wilson was non-existant in the type of game he needs a good performance.

Rojo was great in the first half. Blind and Falcao looked ok, but didn't have much happening behind them. DiMaria looked ok but seemed to struggle with the schoolyard style of football. Herrera looked good when he came on, offering a creative output.

I'm nowhere near ready to start bashing LVG. he has flaws, but the reality is there's still some elements of last year's team who need to be shifted out, So long as we're still playing Valencia, so long as we're still relying on Carrick and Jones, we're going to have very shakey performances.

LVG seriously needs to buy a right back anybody is better then Valencia. Jones was shocking along with Fellaini and carrick. Shocking stuff.

TSC I completely agree with you on Valencia. Having him in the side renders the right flank useless as an attacking threat.

Rightly so. LVG promised so much and is delivering very little. Players just as bad.

Cambridge didn't deserve to win it but United deserved to lose it through sheer sh*tness and negativity. Jones put in one of the worst individual performances I have ever seen, a disgrace.

Shocking to look at.... One thing for sure blind can't play left back

Feel sorry for falcao his movement is top class and he is given zero service

And how long have we been saying this, for years now. Yet he still plays

Herrera was on the pitch for a few minutes and instantly put in better crosses

    Horrendous performance yet again. Pathetic.

Now we get to watch the replay where we'll win 2-0 with a mind-numbingly boring performance.

    Huzzah.
