I find I can feel down when I have fish for dinner and not just at Christmas . Especially after tuna. Maybe you should have turkey instead!

You need fresh air and exercise.
Climb a mountain and then if you're up for it, jump in a lake.
    That'll cure what ails you.

Yes I'm feeling A bit crap today too.
Jyst realised that I must work on Friday.
I'm really tired so in going to bed soon. Lack of sleep is very bad for my mental health I find.

Hope you feel better soon Lukesmom

I was back in work today after the few days off, so I did feel a bit down. It's the norm, I think, returning to school/college/work after the festive break. Also, I got feck all sleep last night, which didn't help my mood today.

Not feeling down but New Years is a crappy celebration.

You should do what i do...spend christmas in the sun. When its 35 degrees it doesn't really feel christmassy in the first place so when it passes there's no real downer.

That said, not looking forward to going home on the 2nd.

I hate the post Christmas feeling, don't even feel like turning the tree lights on now. The only thing that cheered me up today was seeing the buds of all the daffodils and tulips popping up...and the large vodka I'm guzzling as I type.

My belly is finally beginning to return to it's normal size, I was just about able to close the clasp on my trousers this morning... finally :D

I have no time for "feeling ****" or post xmas depression to settle in. Working 8 days 11-12 hour shifts starting 27th. I just sleep, work and poop.
I work on new years day at 6:00 in the morning so I won't even bother going out.

I don't get up or down about it at all.

The sun rises and sets every day, even when it's pishing.

I didn't feel any hype this year, I'm starting to see that it's just for the kiddies and just another source of stress for parents!

Ahh no, that's made me feel more sad now. Is there any upcoming event you can look forward to? Something that always cheers you up?
I wish I could share my vodka with you now...or the last of my Quality Street. Hugs.

    Back in work tomorrow.

New year's eve and day are so depressing, so not too bothered.

Xmas is such an anti climax, lasts one maybe two days and it's over.

We should do what most other countries do and just celebrate it Xmas eve and day, then be done with it.

Little Xmas on the 6th of January load of bs, yeah cause I'm going to celebrate Xmas then.

I went back to work today and I have to say it was great to something productive rather than getting stuck into the chocs and drink.

I made sure to get out for some fresh air and exercise as well.

Booked flights to Sao Paulo earlier, so I guess that is some consolation.

Yep, find the Christmas come down horrible myself. Happens to me every year but this year I've had to work over it for the first time (Christmas eve, tomorrow and new years eve) so its even worse!

Try and find something funny on TV, grab a few nice biscuits and a cup of tea. That's what I'm doing :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,318 ✭✭✭✭Menas

The few days between Christmas are my favorite.
Nothing to do or worry about...no work to go to.
Just a bunch of box sets that need watching.

Cheer up OP, just a few days to go to new years. Perhaps plan something exciting for 2015, get yer mind off it.

Christmas is passing, there are so many things you want to do to improve your life and now is the time to promise these will come to pass. For me, I will stop smoking, I will join a gym, Lose weight and be better at my Job, and I will grow a beard.

So far, the effects of my efforts is that I look like a fat smoking dirty bearded tramp. Go me.

My face is fcuking itchy though.

As far as I'm concerned NYE is nothing to be excited about. Overhyped nonsense.

This happens every year (the anti-climax bit) - you should be used to it now.
