BMI Reduction

    Hi guys, new to the boards and wondering if some of you could share some advice.
    I'm a 24 year old male 6'0 and weighing 120kg (BMI 35.8)

    I was always fairly active and played rugby, football etc however over the last year have become inactive and frankly lazy and weight has skyrocketed.
    For medical and professional reasons i need to lower my BMI to below 30 within at least 2.5 months.
    I have began fairly intense cardio training, roughly 65-70 minutes per day 5 days a week and have cleaned up my diet and got portion size under control.

    My question really is this, can this sort of reduction in BMI be realistically achieved within this timescale?

    Your post is not making a lot of sense "with at least 2.5 months" sound like that might be the minimum period to lose for. Maximum reasonable weight loss per week is an average of 2lbs. You might lose weight faster in the early stages of a new diet or training program. 2.5 weeks is about 11 weeks so you should not be aiming for more than 20lbs in such a short space of time. You would be best speaking to a dietician.
