I'm having a weird but lovely xmas day. Staying in a hotel which is a first and it's just the 2 of us and our first xmas together. We had booked the xmas lunch but have now changed that to room service later. Having cheese and wine just now and prob steak later. Only thing I'm gonna miss is the samiches tonight.

Really? What time would you normally have dinner if it wasn't Christmas? Just never understood where the early dinner thing came from

We don't eat til after 5. Had a traditional extra large Christmas fry up a while ago. Going to tuck into the booze now; brandy and coke!

The turkey is resting. Ham and spuds roasting. Just about to start the gravy. Smells great

Some people seem to confuse lunch with dinner.

Oh yeah of course, I'm not saying people shouldn't have theirs earlier. I just found it odd is all.

Or maybe we suit ourselves and nobody is wrong.

    Even just for today.

We'll have less of that talk now. You're supposed to make a sly dig about how much of a gob****e he is. Can't left after hours standards slip.

Just after the dinner there, surprised I could fit it all in after all the jelly babies and chocolates I'd had earlier!

I said I wouldn't drink till tonight, but best made plans and all that, couple of whiskeys and had to open the belt to ease the pressure on mah belly :D
